"January is here, with eyes that keenly glow, A frost-mailed warrior striding a shadowy steed of snow."
-   Edgar Fawcett

January's Theme

The first of the year is celebrated with mirth,

Birth of the new year perched upon its breast

Tree of destiny watched with awe

What to look for

Could it be faith and hope

Would love enter in

Could riches be attained because of it

Spirit traverse upon distant shores

How fervently we look for happiness and more

The old year is gone with a blink of an eye

I am prodigal ... waiting to be spied.

Maria©

We'll celebrate January with mirth - but only after the Festive Cheer.

Shining brighter is better than waiting,Maria! The brighter you shine, the more you are spied.

I am eleven days away from 64.  Life is good.  I look to the past with fond memories and look forward to the future with child like anticipation.  God bless you all my friends and may your every need be met with love and kindness in the new year... bear

Thank you Don! I've already passed your milestone. I shall leave a drink behind the bar for you,for when you get to mine in four years time. In the meantime you and I are hopefully on the same road with the same destination.

Indeed, Phillip, I am heaven bound... Can't wait 'til I get there.  Should I preceed you to glory, I'll meet you at the pearly gates to present you with your crown... Don
