Autumn leaves
Autumn Leaves beckon me
with the glorious colors and beauty
they make me stand and ponder in thought
At the memories and stories they could tell if they could speak
As they flow softly along the branches swirling as I watch
and pass a memory etched in my mind to hold close in my heart forever
I look back only once as I see them floating to the ground below
A vison of a burst of color but alas not to be a joy forever
For this scene shows me that fall has come and winter will be soon
The snow will cover the ground once more as frost fills the air
the autumn leaves now a vison to remember that I smile about
just at there thought and their glory that is mine for all time
