This is lovely, Pip, slowly tender and romantic. I have read a lot of your earlier postings and enjoyed immensely, but these I find quite compelling to carry on through reading, as there is a link in some of their 'domestic' genre, but this one...is totally romantically beautiful. Perhaps her love collects amber moments, ornaments in display with happy smiles everlasting. A room devoid of clocks ticking, alive in bloom of hyacinth scent she breathes in slowly, believes in him.
Cloistered they play in candlelight. He talks of oysters and she dreams of poets and pearls. Red wine flows to laughter, shadows entwined, now is the time. He takes her hand with care, emerald eyes enchanting, with tender touch reveals on bended knee, a ring. She smiles. |
