And now her body aches once more, grating her throat, parting her lips. She wraps her limbs around the wood, the branch dark and damp as if with sweat. A leafy stem lies quiet and still, defies and entices. Subtle with moist ease it passes into her mouth. Her body arches, meets the trunk, hard and unyielding. Serpentine she slides and slithers, comes to earth, seeking warmth. Above a bird of prey with empty eyes, a ring of gold, glides air in decreasing circles. |

Love this one in particlar, Pip, nature caught so succintly in so few lines, but have enjoyed another read through your collection additions earlier. This a super one for audio, which because of being so preoccupied at home, I forgot this weekend...shall get one going for next. Wish you would place some of these on the main board, Pip, as I know it is only a few of us who read in here, these should be read by all, Zy |
