My son parades his new crayons
in rows of four. The dark crimson
and fiery red are first in line.
He draws a house that’s glowing warm.
His dad colours a neat circle
a sunny day, drapes naked trees
with olive leaves, conjures a path
across the grass where mum and son play.
‘That’s a lovely picture,�?I say. |
