Supper ready? Mum’s boiling Uncle Ben in a bag. Sweet and sour for tea.
I empty my pockets: find some string, an old key, a rubber.
I try again: a mouth, an eye, a fin. It swims.
Homework done. I watch X-men on T.V. until its time to dream. |
