It's raining here in England

You may say that's no surprise

But perhaps I've underplayed it

For if you look up at our skies
 
You'll see that they have stayed the same

Some several days or more

Each second brings us water

And its flooding us for sure

If you think that that's a river

Then you may need me to tell

You that's the M4 motorway

It's been drowned for quite a spell

T'would seem our weather's changing

It's a pattern of events

For summer now brings drought and sun

That never does relent

Until our winter season wakes

And turns the tables round

We were desperate once for water

Yet now the stuff abounds
