Like a skeletoned leaf Friendship has a fragility.
Though often discarded
By the weathering storms,
It may once again grow
To endure life's wear and tear.
Regard a leaf upon a tree,
Choose a time of lushness
For it cannot last forever,
Yet it may be renewed
Again and again, once
Each superficial layer
Has been devoured
By, the corrosion of living.
