Matrix free form design

Here we will be using the Matrix from the Picture Tube Tool.

Start out with a black background, this will enable the colors to really jump out at you.

New Image size: 400X400X72

The Scale settings for the Matrix: 100

Make any design you wish to do. This is just for you to get a hang of it.

Let's see what you come up with.

Have fun!!

I'm confused.  What is the Matrix?  Can you give a little more information on this Tutorial please?  I really appreciate your help.  Thank you.  Hugs, Claire

The Matrix is a Picture Tube that is a compliment of PSP.

Here you will see the screen shot of the Matrix picture tube and it's location.

This picture tube is a blast to work with. If you have any questions still post on this thread. Good luck and have fun. I am excited to see what creation you come up with.

Well, that tube is not something in my PSP9 or PSP11.  I'm not that familiar with the way to do this TUT either.  I guess I'm a little slow here.  Sorry.  Hugs,  Claire

Claire:
Know worries, I am going to write a tutorial in which you will be creating the "Matrix" and then you can add it to your "Picture Tube" file.

Creating the Matrix Picture Tube

New Image: 300x300x72 the background is set to Transparent.

You are free to copy/paste the images. This you will do by highlighting the images, then "Save Picture As" to your own hard drive.

Once it is there you can open up your Paint Shop Pro. We will be taking all three brush strokes and stacking them one on top of the other. Once you have taken the brush stokes and stacked them on top of each other we will then crop them. Keep the background transparent.

Once this step is done then you can copy it into your Picture Tube File. (You will be able to create the Matrix effect with no problem. There is a plethora of effects you will be able to create with it.)

Note: The images below are transparent.

This step is where you will make the background stay Transparent. Layers > Merge > Merge Visible.

Then we will go to File > Export > Picture Tube.

You should end up with a picture tube that you can either click one at a time or drag them to create the flowing effect.

This is what it looks like when it has been dragged on the canvas giving the flow effect.

The Matrix effect I created was done with dragging it on the canvas. I used the Effects > Reflecion Effects > Kaleidoscope to give it an animated effect.

If you still need help please let me know.

Good Luck!!!

Ingrid

I saved this to my computer and opened it in my PSP, but it came up just as it is here and is not transparent.  Do you have any suggestions on how to go about getting them separate and transparent?  Thank you.  Hugs,  Claire

Have you tried to open it up in Animation Shop? (To show the frames needed for the effect. Which would show you each frame with the transparent background.)
The way to get the background to be transparent, you must go to Layers then Merge then Merge Visible.
The way to get this effect is to use the Paint Brush to create different brush strokes, which is what this is. For all your ideas to come to a transparent background you have to: LayersMerge/ Merge Visible.
If this is still not making sense please let me know. I have patience so don't hesitate to ask me. We will get it figured out, I promise.
