Hey guys!
It's Connor from E5, and I will be blogging about this season of endurance and adding my opinion on things. As a general not for all of my blogs, I will try to find a fine line between sharing my thoughts and avoiding bashing. If someone's doing something I disagree with, I'll say so, but there's no reason to resort to name-calling and bad language. I know how much that stinks. So with that being said...
WOW! the beginning of this episode was craaaaazy, the editing of the new theme song was really intense and their location is SO COOL. The beach is beautiful, the huts are cool, the temple is intense! I found it weird not everyone got a free night though after going all the way to Fiji.
I was impressed with how hard everyone fought in the Right to Stay challenge and they were up there for a long time. But it also didn't look all that hard, I mean I'm sure it started to hurt your body for just having to hold yourself up that long, but they had gloves and there was a knot on the rope...haha.
So now to the players. This was the first episode and most of it was introductory or challenge stuff, so I won't have too much to say on everyone yet.
Andres- Sad to see him go, he seemed like a really nice, laid back guy and he took the defeat with class. His effort to fight to stay on the rope was great, it was too bad it didn't work out for him.
Briana- Throughout the episode she seemed outgoing and it looked like she would get along with many and get into a good position. But the preview for the next episode basically killed that whole image...Let alone hurting someone's feeling unnecessarily, I just don't get the thought behind putting a gigantic target on your back like that. It's not smart gameplay, don't be surprised to see her team be one of the first sent up to the temple.
Ben- Didn't see too much of him, but seems like he'll get along easily with people, plus his bio said he's a big Endurance fan which automatically gets you a few points in my book. He also has the long dark hair which I'm sure the ladies will dig, and that can only help, haha.
Cinnamon- She was one of the most interesting characters in my opinion. The smallest girl there, yet she does tae kwan do. Looking so poised in the RTS in the beginning and offering encouragement, yet she ended up slipping. I think she is another example of why it's better to wait until you're 14 or 15 to try out. When she was talking to Hannah and Jackie it looked to me like she was anxious to make conversation, but talking partners so early freaks people out, and of course being the youngest had to make the RTS harder for her. Her elimination was a sad one, but she should be proud for holding on as long as she did at her age.
Caleb- He's the type (jock-ish personality, muscle man) who I would usually root against, but I actually liked him. He was funny in the deleted scene. I would just about put money on the fact that he'll be in the dominant alliance of the season. He's one of the most athletic there, and he seems to have a chill personality that people will like. The pair of him and Jonathan could be very dangerous, they seemed to be talking a lot and getting along well, and both of them seem like strong players.
Hannah- Definitely a fan! She seems like she'll get along great with everyone and she got through the RTS with what looked like little effort. I think she's in a good spot and I wouldn't be surprised to see her advance far in the game. She's also very pretty, which has little to do with the game but is always nice to hear, right? haha
Connor- If there had to be another "Connor on Endurance," let me the first to tell you I am SO GLAD it was this kid haha. "This water is really pretty but I don't wanna go in it right now," "I love you rope." He's hilarious!!! I'm sure he will play smart, it was pretty clear everyone already liked him. He will be a fan favorite (if he isn't already) without a doubt and I'm hoping to see him do well.
Jackie- "I'm here to prove I'm not just some nerd"-HECK YES. Gotta love that. She made it through the RTS so she's well on her way to achieving that goal haha. I like her and I think she will be another fan favorite. She's a big fan and I'm sure she will play the game wisely. We saw her talking with Hannah in this episode; I think that would be a great alliance!
Jonathan- He seems like he could be a very dangerous player. From his personality and his looks he seems to be very smooth and, I'm not saying I think he would do so based off his personality, but if he needed to pull a manipulative move I'm sure he could do so successfully. Again, teamed up with Caleb they could do some damage.
