General Requirements: You must be 12 - 15 years old and live in the United States Make a video Kids are asked to send a video, under five minutes long, expressing who they are and why they think they've got what it takes to be an Endurance champion.* Videos must include basic contact information, including full name, address, telephone number, birth date, name of parent(s) or guardian(s) and e-mail address.* A note of permission from the parent or guardian must also accompany the package.* Be creative (if you are stuck on ideas, ask others on the EoDK boards) Be yourself (this is the most common advise from former contestants) Go to kids.discovery.com to view previous contestants videos Download application from kids.discovery.com Send application and video and wait for a callback For more information visit the official Discovery Kids web site Get on the Show! Where do you get your extra clothes with your team color? Bags of clothes are brought to contestants by the wardrobe/costume department ladies.
What do Endurance contestants eat while on Endurance? Regular food (probably catered). In E3, the contestants said that they were serving seafood along with regular food and they were not allowed junk food (or sodas & candies) until they were eliminated. Bryanah reports raiding sodas for Chris and Reece. The tradition continues even to E5 raiding the coolers for soda.
Do the contestants read and post on these boards? Yes they do! Former contestants that have visited us include Jonna, Ashley, Abbey, Simone, Christian, Sabrina, Maryelle, Mike L., Keetin, Calley, Jeff, Max, Nicole, Monroe, Bryanah, Lindi, Sarah, Tom, Kareem, Damian, Eleanor, Daniela, Nick, John, Shea, Isaac, Michael, Chris, Amelia and etc. This season, all 20 of the Endurance: High Sierras contestants are members of this MSN group. Some have been active on this group years before being on E5.
How do I email or contact the contestants and do they have MySpace? Most of the contestants have graciously given us their email and/or IM contact info and MySpace URL. Browse the appropriate season link on the left navigation bar and click on the "Contact" link. If the information is not there post a message on the boards another member may have it.
What are the rules for EoDK board? The rules are simple: No profanity No bashing other members No bashing anyone from the Endurance cast No spamming the boards Please respect other group members No arguing (sometime discussions can get heated and emotional, please keep in mind on the facts of the matter and don't flame and attack other members) No spoilers outside of the Spoilers Board (no spoilers are to be posted in the General board or any other board beside Spoilers Board). Follow these rules for posting spoilers (msg 1 & 2), violate them and you will be banned! Violating these rules can result in being banned, in some cases, without warning.
Where do Endurance contestants use the bathroom and take showers? Porta-potties and cold showers. In E1 & E2, they also had the beach. Aaron and Christian went swimming in the mornings that served as their bath. E3 had rain and the river. E4 had the nothing but a filthy lake, just ask Franke! E5 had Shaver Lake.
What does "BUMP" mean? "Bring Up My Post"Usually to bring attention to a thread that is getting no response. You "bump" a thread if you think it is interesting and want active discussion or a response. On a discussion board, it places the thread on the top of unread list. (If you're going to use it, please don't over do it),
