This Guide is for "Freelancer" Role Players   In my experience I found much about the "Freelancer" a mystery. Why did one go from dice, books, guilds and clans to freelancing? Reason: They were being suffocated. Suffocated you ask... suffocated is when you have lack of proper oxygen to the brain.  When the brain lacks this, we can not think or do what is needed to live and survive.  So with that I found myself within the realm of freelancing.  I studied guides on it and expressed my character in that manner.  I do not allow god-moding or allow my character to live forever.. we may have made eternal creatures... but they all die too.  I use real life experiences and bind with some RP experiences.  I never drag my RL into RP, for one reason... you step over the bounds of RP Guidelines.  You can infact learn from RL experiences to use as a wall to lean on to help guide you through RP. Like a dream or nightmare.. many use that as a wall.  I use it all. I do not believe in using White Wolf or VtM at all anymore.  I got past it.  It gave me a better understanding to RP, but did not give me what I was actually looking for.  I am too old to be following those rules.  I found myself being a complete loner, which in turn my character did too.  I follow the rules in respect to not going over board... ***but will never allow dice, guilds, clans or even a book to rule the RP world for me anymore. [***UPDATE; Feb. 24,2007] {I had decided to bring back in old school stile skills, I have a page up for Tomoth to begin his ideas and knowledge of dice and so forth I was so strongly against.  I know there are a few of you out there left who do remember how it all began, what came of it and what made me get out of dice, guilds, books, boards and more... so if you have ideas.. please go to RP Ideas board and list them.  I still am strongly in my beliefs on freelance, but this page will be changed soon once things get rolling....} I love freelancing.  As long as you don't make a character that you can't kill with no exceptions.. you can freelance.  Do not ruin it for everyone else. There is a fine line between freelance and dice.  You are actually restricted to laws of RP with dice.  You can't do anything unless it is with dice.  I was there, I left the sceen.  So with that.. here some guidle lines to follow when becoming a freelancer... Now mind you, I have been freelancing for over 10 yrs, with more than 20 yrs to back up my work in RP.  I am an avid Role Player... over 20 years.   The Guide to Freelancing   1] Do not make your character indestructable. 2] Do not think God-Moding is the way to go. 3] Keep within the limits. 4] Remember if you the mun can die, so can your character. 5] Freelancers are far and few, respect who they are. 6] Never try to post one liners. 7] Nothing under 15 lines (minimun) for one action is ever allowed. 8] Do not over do a one action hit by posting more than 30 lines.  There a fine line between an excellent well written one hit action... to over do would make you look really new and unexperienced. 9] Respect everyones freedom of expression. 10] Do not control what you have no right too. 11] Do not expect everyone to kiss your characters ass or yours. 12] Limits are made for a reason. 13] Do NOT rape or mollest or use anykind of porn in freelance,       unless the character you are role playing with allows it.  Freedom to be graphic has it limits in here.  It maybe a mature realm, but some people do not like over use of graphic nature in roleplay.  Please do not over use colorful language.  Use it, just don't abuse it.  14] Keep PORN (anykind) OUT OF MY GROUP! 15] Do not come into this group thinking you can use whatever skills you do not know and do not have. 16] There will never be drama allowed within the realm of freelancing...EVER.  Do it, your out of here.  I have a bitch board for bitchin' not drama.. use it! 17] Lose track of freelance, lose track with yourself. 18] Do NOT EVER tell the author of this guide how to ROLE Play. I know exactally what I am doing.  I am older than you think, and do NOT need a parent or mentor in freelancing.  Too old of a cat to be fucked by a kitten. 19] If someone has a problem with these rules, you can bring it up on the bitch board.  You have a right to your opinion as well as I do with mine.  I will not ever allow anyone to bring what I know is not really meant for roleplaying.  Freelancers only in the group. Leave your knowledge of W.W. and VtM at the door when you join here.   I designed these rules to this guide for a reason... if you choose to not follow you can take your ass out of here along with anything you ever said to misjudge facts.  I made this place.. this realm.  It is a big part of me and my darkness....
