The GTI is a medium-sized wooden building with a tavern on the bottom floor. The bar is usually self serve. Next to the bar is a room with a full, self serve buffet. There is no charge for drinks, food, or rooms, but tips are always welcome. A large glass jar is kept on the bartop for this purpose.

The main room contains many wooden tables and chairs, as well as a few randomly placed armchairs and two couches, one of which stands near the hearth, along with a window seat against the wall. The fire is always burning. Stairs lead up to the rooms, which are comfortably furnished. The keys to the rooms are held behind the bar, and the room numbers are engraved on the keys.

The inn is located in the kingdom of Anthaliron. An agreement was made with the rule of Anthaliron, because of Myranda's healing skills, that the GTI may be outside the jurisdiction of the kingdom.

The inn is surrounded by woods and fields of grass and wildflowers. Just outside the inn is a swing suspended from the high branch of a tree. Down a path, just beyond sight of the inn, is a large, clear lake, called the Silver Pool. There are stables behind the main building for the keeping of animals, including horses and Lady Adlin's golden tigers.

Some ways down the road is the town called New Hope.

The inn itself is powerfully warded against harmful intent. While accidents occasionally happen, magic or other destructive forces meant to bring harm to the inn are blocked by very strong spells set over time and with great effort by more than one wielder.
