Fourteen years ago at the age of 16 a young man was coerced by his 22 yr. old teacher and lover to shoot and kill her husband.  The teacher planned the entire murder.........except for the pulling of the trigger. The young boy received a sentence of 25 to 45 years in prison. This man has spent fourteen years behind bars and has asked for the parole board to release him early.  The parents of the dead man is irate and wants him to serve the entire 25 years.

If you were the judge, what would your ruling be?  Would you release him early or would you make him serve the 25 years?  Take in to account the boy was 16 years old at the time of the murder.  But also take in to account the feelings of the dead man's parents.

Yes this is a tough case, I think if the young man has learned from what he has done & is truely sorry I would let him out for early release. I know the parents of the dead man won't ever forget & there wont be enough time served. What happened to the teacher.

The teacher received a life sentence.  The boy was a very quiet young man and never in trouble.

I feel so sorry for the dead man's parents as they will never get over that brutal murder of their son (he was shot in the back of the head).  However, the Bible says to forgive or the Lord will not forgive us.  I have watched the debates on Fox News on this case and both sides give an awesome argument.

A hard one here. At 16 a young man should know right from wrong, but if immature would be influenced greatly by what someone in authority, like this teacher, wanted him to do. Maybe he was threatened if he refused???

He is 30 now, and in my mind learned his lesson many times over, locked up for all those years. I think it's the teacher who should take the full blame in this particular case.

I think the man has served enough time for a moment of being "Brain Dead"........Passion for a woman will make a man do some crazy things.....The teacher should have paid with her life!........You don't want someone ........leave.......don't have to kill!
Let him go...........He is no threat to society.

I am not sure about earlier release , Like I was always taught ...Do the crime do the time ....BUT I know I have made alot of mistakes in the pass that now as an adult know how stupid they were . Even at 16 you thought process is just that of a child still .
So maybe in this case he should . now as for the adult teacher.....she should still be in jail .
