A hard one here. At 16 a young man should know right from wrong, but if immature would be influenced greatly by what someone in authority, like this teacher, wanted him to do. Maybe he was threatened if he refused???
He is 30 now, and in my mind learned his lesson many times over, locked up for all those years. I think it's the teacher who should take the full blame in this particular case.
