If someone approached you whilst flapping their gusset at you what would you do? Would you move closer towards them (so as to be in the attack zone) or move further away from them as quickly as humanly possible?

Without a doubt run, after all flapping gussets coming towards you makes one squeamish and bit like like meeting a man that calls knickers panties.

Panties (in the USA and Canada) or knickers (in the UK and Commonwealth) are a form of underwear, usually light and snug-fitting, designed to be worn by women or girls in the area directly below the waist. Typical components include a waistband (often elastic), a crotch to cover the genital area (usually lined with absorbent material such as cotton), and a pair of leg openings (also often elastic). They have either no legs or in some cases very short ones. The term is usually used in the plural -- a single unit is a "pair of panties" -- though "panty" is used in such derivatives as "panty liner".

A gusset is a device, often triangular, used to reinforce a connection between two components. Gussets are commonly used in engineering, sewing and armour.

[edit] Sewing

In sewing, a gusset is a triangular or square piece of fabric inserted into a seam to add breadth or reduce stress. Gussets were used at the shoulders, underarms, and hems of traditional shirts and chemises made of rectangular lengths of linen to shape the garments to the body.[1]

Gussets are used in manufacturing of modern tights or pantyhose to add breadth at the crotch seam; these gussets are often made of breathable fabrics for hygiene.

[edit] Armor

Gusset is also an alternate spelling of gousset, a component of late Medieval armor.

–noun
1.

a small, triangular piece of material inserted into a shirt, shoe, etc., to improve the fit or for reinforcement.

Maybe we should be thinking a bit lower?

 1. A small piece of cloth inserted in a garment, for the purpose of strengthening some part or giving it a tapering enlargement

Didnt work for him then, lol
