- First Club Meeting
February 22, 1999 Located in the heart of the Land of Enchantment, Albuquerque is the home of the Nissan Patrol Club Albuquerque. We began from these two Patrols. Carl saw a rare site - another Patrol, and decided to leave a message on the Patrol's windshield. We assembled at Steve's house, and the rest is history!
- Day Trip to Tent Rocks
April,1999 Located near Cochiti Pueblo, between Albuquerque and Santa Fe, New Mexico, Tent Rocks is accessible via a 6-mile dirt and gravel road. The public domain, day-use area consists of a Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) land management area consisting of a parking/picnic area and a spectacular hiking trail winding through a rugged canyon which, at times, is only 30" wide!
- 15th Annual Automobile Show at the Albuquerque Museum
May,1999 Carl and Steve will showed their Patrols in the Stock Trucks 1949-Present category. In preparation, Carl, Steve, and Gregg removed Carls roof the week prior to the show. Carl showed his Patrol "Open" and Steve contrasted by showing his Patrol "Closed". The Albuquerque Museum is located in Old Town at 2000 Mountain Road NW. - Wilderness Camping Trip
July,1999 The Club partook of the beautiful wooded countryside near Los Alamos, New Mexico for two beautiful days and nights in July. We went to visit Fenton Lake to enjoy the sun and water. Carl and Erik tried out the stump-climbing power of their Patrol! - 5-Patrol Sand Dune Trip
November,1999
Bob Bartley, a Patrol fanatic from Paso Robles, California, travelled through Albuquerque after Thanksgiving. We assembled five Patrols from the area, including Steve's new 1969 Patrol. We welcomed two new Patrol Club members from Albuquerque, Tim Cornwell and Ken Artz. Steve met Ken at the local Nissan Dealer parts counter. Tim was located by Steve and Sue's postal carrier, Jim (a Patrol admirer and Land Cruiser owner). Bob and his family joined the Club for a terrific day of dune climbing, note-sharing, and great conversation.
