In the wake of the recent member e-mail spamming, do you think that we should continue to allow all members access to the bulk e-mail function? Or should we limit bulk e-mailing to managers only? Add your opinion here!

I think it is important that all members be able to send group e-mails, I think we should deal with problem users as they arise.

Is there not a way to identify the misuse on a one to one basis, and not make the group suffer as a whole ?   Maybe I just don't understand the bulk e-mail system !

I can think of no reason whatsoever why bulk e-mail function should be available to all. If it is something useful to all members then run it should be through you first. Free speech is one thing but leaving the door open to misuse without a damn good reason is another.

I could do without the junk e-mail, but at this point it's not a big problem. If it starts showing up alot, then lets close the door on it. The club is a nice oasis from the  commercial bombardment of our daily lives.(I'm not talking about things like Alex's Patrol T-shirts or other Patrol related goodies)...those are life essentials! I hope that the people who have accsess to our e-mail addresses remember why we are members of this club and are adult enough to understand that we want to talk to each other about the one thing this club was set up for and that is the saving of the Patrol. Maybe if people want to send mail other than Patrol related then they can put a message on the board and see who responds.

I would like to see the system continue as it has
been. If it happens again that an email is sent
through that applies in no way to VEHICLES then the
emails should begin to be checked by the operators
first. Try it for now, see how it goes. Nobody
really wants someone to regulate what they post...

Although I totally agree with Stephen, I also agree with Jeepy that I hate to see the need for regulation.  As long as my DELETE button works I'll out last the bastards.
