A MOONLIT BAY
As I walked along a moonlit bay,
My mind and thoughts were filled,
With such a feeling deep and true,
My heart it overspilled.
A gentle breeze blew over me,
The sunset filled the skies,
The sea it rippled on the sand,
The whole sight filled my eyes.
As I walked along a moonlit bay,
And stared to outer space,
My inner thoughts brought comfort,
Though I couldnt see a face.
There was a touch I'd never felt,
A voice I'd never heard,
As I pictured letters on a screen,
I treasured every word.
My thoughts then drifted far away,
To a place I'd never been,
My mind it wandered aimlessly,
It all seemed like a dream.
For though I've never seen your face,
My time with you I spend,
For you're the one thats close to me,
My confidant and friend.
And on a screen is where we meet,
And so each night I pray,
That God will bless the precious hands,
That type for me each day.
As I walked along a moonlit bay,
I thanked the lord above,
For giving me the internet,
And you my friend to love.
