His will be the face I won’t forget

The smile so enchanting

Arms pulling me in

Laughter as we were dancing.

Dreams I built around him

Hopes and thoughts spun

In every embrace as

My heart he won.

Our eyes smiled

His attention abounding

My spirit soared

His love so astounding.

Honesty we pledged

Total trust ensued

Then I found he

Was also in the arms of you.

Shattered I stood alone

Loving him still 'n yet

Knowing it was over now

His will be the face  - I won’t forget.
