LOW POTASSIUM DIET


Ingredients

STIR FRY
Stir fry's can be based on meat, chicken or seafood.
Fry in vegetable oil or sesame oil for added flavour.
Choose suitable vegetables such its carrots, beans, capsicum, bean sprouts, snow peas, broccoli, zucchini, onions and mushroom. Chop or slice into small pieces and pre?soak for 2 hours or par boil for 5 minutes. Limit to 1 ? 1 Z cups per serve. Alternatively use frozen vegetables.
Avoids nuts and coconut.
Suitable flavourings include soy sauce, oyster sauce, ginger, garlic, chilli, honey, dry sherry, etc.
Use cornflour to thicken if desired.
Serve with plenty of steamed rice or noodles, which are low in potassium.
Garnish with basil or coriander, if desired.
