LOW POTASSIUM PIZZA
Ingredients Use standard pizza bases or white Pita bread or flat bread. For mini pizzas try using halved white muffins. Spread thinly with a small amountof tomato puree flavoured with garlic, herbs (oregano, basil) and/or pepper if desired. Alternatively use a bottled pasta sauce. Choose from suitable toppings, e.g. ham, cooked chicken, tinned pineapple (drained), capsicum, mushrooms, onion, olives, Jalapeno pepper, chilli. Limit very salty toppings, e.g. salami, pepperoni, bacon, anchovies. Cover with a light sprinkle of mozarella cheese.Recommended by loriS, 6/21/2001.
