THE WEDDING JOURNAL? WTF?!

Rumor control? Everyone hated it. Especially the celebrities that found themselves to be constantly featured on every single ?or damn near every single ?weekly edition of People magazine, with a new rumor that’s somehow surfaced. It’s no use every celebrity in the world hated the paparazzi with a burning passion. Well, that and the fact that even the slightest mishap could turn into the biggest, career ending mistake ever. Ahh well, guess now’s as good a time as any to be proud that I’m nothing more then a mere wrestler; putting on a show for millions of people around the world. When I go home, people may recognize me, but the paparazzi don’t bang down my door at four in the morning, hoping to catch me in an awkward position that’ll become that week’s latest gossip.

Rumors often times were harder to control then a menstrual cycle. At least with PMS, it was a timely issue and you were pretty sure of when it’d be coming around every month. With rumor control, you never really know who it’s gonna hit next. As I sat there, in this luxurious bridal shop on <st1:Street w:st="on"><st1:address w:st="on">Rodaeo Drive</st1:address></st1:Street> in Beverly Hills, that I began to wonder; what the hell was I thinking? Kevin wasn’t one for big, lavish things but I certainly found time to pamper myself when it was truly necessary. As I flipped through the pages of People; Beyonce someone was fighting with Jennifer somebody over this Jay-person? Who really cared, right? It’s not that big of a deal when it’s normal people that argue and fight over guys, but when it’s a celebrity, it’s printed across the bottom of your screen like an Amber Alert or Tornado Warning. That is how insane and star-crazed this country has gotten over the years. No one cared about the economy, global warming and the War in Iraq. It was all about who the newest little hot shot in the Hollywood Hills was fighting with and dating. Kind of sad, when you think about it. Girls between the ages of 11 and 16 are idolizing people like Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton, they walk around in micro mini’s with no panties on, make sex tapes that conveniently just happen to find their way to the principal and dean of schools, and take nudie pictures that they scan and send through e-mail and text messaging. The saddest part of it all was, these girls were like mini-Jenna Jameson’s in training. All of them had dreams, once upon a time and now, their biggest highlight in life, their biggest thrill is making it big via Penthouse Pets.

I heard the bell on the shops front door ring and my attention seemed to turn from the People magazine that I was barely even reading as I secretly scammed out the shop trying to find thee perfect dress, to the door and who was walking in. And thankfully, it was someone I could relate to. Fashionably late, as usual, was Summer Fox. She and I had grown quite close over the past few months. I was even the Maid of Honor in her December wedding in Italy to Blake Lovo. And the girl couldn’t be any happier. As she walked in sporting a pair of gorgeous black Chanel sunglasses, her gorgeous, golden blonde locks draped elegantly over her shoulders, she swayed over to me with a huge smile on her face. Slowly, she removed the dark tinted glasses from her face, looked around at the shop then back at me as we exchanged in a comforting hug. “Find anything you like yet, hun??she asked me. I looked at her, puzzled and just shook my head. “No. I honestly don’t know what I’m doing. I’ve been to like three weddings in my adult life, not much. Mainly because, most of the people that I’ve managed to befriend in my adult life are either married or refuse to get married. It’s that whole ‘independent woman?thing. Whatever. Plus, Kev would kill me if I spent $20,000 on that Chanel with the sparkles and tiara over there?I said, pointing coyly at this gorgeous dress that was on a rack. It looked like a fairytale dress, like the one Cinderella would wear when she married her Prince Charming. And, why shouldn’t I spend that kind of money? After all, it was my wedding. And, unlike so many others, Kevin and I were on an equal playing field, chances of our marriage actually lasting was much greater then Jennifer Aniston and John Meyer’s chances. It was my night to feel like a Princess and that was the perfect dress. But no…I hadn’t a clue what I was doing, right? I mean, I’ve only dreamt about this day for twenty-three glorious years of my life. “Chanel eh??Summer asked, intrigued. “I didn’t even think they made wedding dresses?Summer mumbled under her breath so none of the other major celebs and fashion-first rich woman in the store could hear. “Normally, she doesn’t?a voice echoed, behind us. Summer and I jumped slightly, turning around to be face to face with one of the stores sales clerks, who proudly smiled. “Actually, she makes very few and only for a handful of celebrities that they find to be worthy enough. It’s quite hard to find a Chanel inspired wedding dress, especially one like that. So, which one of you lovely ladies are we fitting for a wedding gown today?the sales clerk smiled, while asking. Summer pointed at me, as she turned her attention to some of the other dresses in the shop. “Lovely. You know, you’ve got the perfect skin tone to pull off a dress like that. And you look to be about a size two…am I right??the sales clerk asked. Good eye, actually, as I smiled and nodded my head. “That sounds about right. Sometimes I can squeeze into something smaller, comfortably, but a two is absolutely perfect. So tell me, is that an authentic Chanel gown? It is positively gorgeous-spectacular and I have got to have one like it. I bet that one’s sold already but if the…?before I could finish my sentence, the clerk held her hand up to stop my, in a polite manner, with a smile. “Actually, that gown belongs to no one. It was ordered months and months ago for the store owner’s daughter who was getting married. Tragically, that wedding was called off and the daughter never even got to try on the gown. It’s sat in the store all of two weeks and no one’s even thought of trying it on, the mere sight of something that beautiful is frightening…the price of one of those is outrageous, but well worth it. And, don’t turn it away because it’s a “hand me down?trust me, no one in this entire store but myself and the owner even know that the dress exists. Besides, it has your name written all over it, in huge block letters?she said, as she walked to the rack. Lifting it off, she carefully carried it to where Summer and I were standing, with a smile. “And, lucky for you it is the perfect size two. Care to try it on?she asked. I was beyond speechless and just smiled, taking the dress in my hand with excitement. “I think she’d love to?Summer answered. The sales clerk ushered us to a huge dressing area that seemed like a room in itself, pulling the curtain closed. I stood with four full length mirrors surrounding me as I held the dress up in front of me.

“Isn’t it the most gorgeous dress you’ve ever seen, Summer??I asked, enthusiastically. She smiled, pulling my hair back into a messy bun as I hung the dress up on a rack that was in the dressing room. “It’s gorgeous, Jeanie. And you know, it’s very rare when a bride finds a wedding dress that is absolutely perfect like this, their first time shopping. I mean, it took me months to find the dress of my dreams. Of course, it only took months because Coco was being a little cooter and kept insisting that she make my dress and the gowns of my bride’s maids and maid of honor. I just didn’t have the time to fly out to Europe to meet with her though. Of course, she managed to catch a flight to New York and we met at one of her New York penthouses?Summer said, with a smile as she slowly unzipped the dress. “God Summer, I can’t even believe that I am engaged…that I am about to be someone’s bride. Tell me, were you this excited when you tried on your dress? When your wedding to Blake was coming up so closely? I can hardly think about anything else but my career and my wedding?I said, as I quickly removed the top that I’d worn for that day. Dropping it onto one of the seats that was in the room, I slowly began to push down the pair of tight fitting blue jeans that I was wearing that day, kicking off the black boots as well. And there I stood, in nothing more then a black lace bra and panty set that matched perfectly. Summer held the dress up for me to try on, as I carefully took it in my hand. Sliding my feet in through the opening, I slowly slithered the dress up my petite body, letting it rest over my shoulders. It was a strapless, princess style dress. It had a huge bell skirt that seemed to be the perfect shade of white. It was a shiny, pearl white and silky smooth. Scattered about the skirt, were small diamonds and sparkles that seemed to shine as the light hit the dress. As Summer zipped up the dress, via the side, I turned to face the mirror and the sight was beyond breath-taking. I literally had to gasp for breath; I was so taken back by what stood in front of me. The top of the dress was extremely low cut and rested perfectly over my chest. It was somewhat tight, but not in that uncomfortable way. In a way that seemed to make my boobs pop up a bit and overlap the top of the dress. Actually made them seem bigger then what they were…which would definitely please Kevin. This part of the dress was covered in diamonds and sparkles that seemed to be endless. There must’ve been thousands of diamonds and sparkles sequenced in to the dress, and it really showed. I literally felt like a queen in this gown. With a happy smile on my face, I placed my hand on my stomach and let out a satisfied sigh. “Oh my God Summer…this is?oh my God…?I said, I could barely finish a single sentence, I was so overwhelmed. “I know Jeanie. You look positively radiant in that dress?Summer said, with a smile. “Now, for the finishing touch?she said, as she placed the sparkling, diamond encrusted tiara on the top of my head. “This is going to be the most beautiful gown ever, Jeanie. You look beautiful. Despite the price you pay on it, I think Kevin could easily let that slide once he sees how magnificent you look in this Chanel original?Summer said, as she stood behind me. “Your hair could be worn up in a bun, with the tiara fitted in and curls that cascade down from the bun, with the perfect amount of bounce to them. You’ve got gorgeous, healthy hair and I know the perfect hair dresser that could make a masterpiece out of a bird’s nest?so I could imagine what he’d do to yours?Summer finished, as she played with my hair. I simply smiled, imagining the look on Kevin’s face, when I walked in with this dress on. I bet he really would love the sight. “Summer, this dress is perfect. Kevin might get mad at the price but, like you said, he’d forget all about it when he saw me in it. It’s absolutely perfect Summer, I just have to have it!?I screamed loudly.

“Is everything okay in there?the sales clerk asked, as she tapped on the curtain some. “Everything is perfect?I said, as I continued to look at myself. I wasn’t exactly a conceited person, but I could not take my eyes off myself in this dress. I felt like Grace in that episode where she tries on Will’s cousins wedding dress and can’t seem to bring herself to take it off, in fear that she’d never be married. Slowly, I walked through the curtain, with Summer following behind me. I must’ve been a pure knockout in this dress, because everyone in the store seemed captivated by the sight of me in this gown. “Wow?the clerk said, with a smile “You really do make a beautiful bride, sweetheart?she said, as she turned my slightly, to make sure everything fit perfectly. “And, I don’t think that this gown would look this gorgeous on anyone else but you?she continued, with a comforting smile. “Thank you so much?I said, with a smile. “I absolutely love it and I just have to have it…but I am terrified. How much is it, exactly??I asked, biting my bottom lip nervously. “Actually, judging by how happy you are in that dress, I think we can work up a deal or two?the clerk said, with a smile as she called for her manager. “This is the manager, and I’m sure once she notices how positively spectacular you look in that dress, she will be more then willing to give you a fantastic deal?the clerk continued, as the manager walked over. “Good afternoon ladies?the manager said. “I am Chantel, the store manager here. I see you’ve tried on the Chanel dress that was brought in, it lost absolutely amazing on you. Of course, there is one thing that’s missing?the manager added, with a smile. She reached over, pulling out a pair of satin, pearl white gloves that she slid over my arms. “Now, now you look like a perfect Princess Bride?she said, with a smile. “Thank you so much. You have no idea how beautiful I feel in this dress. Like a bonifide stunner, really. And I’d love to buy it for my wedding next month. How much is it??I asked, coyly, hoping it wasn’t more then I was thinking it was. “Actually, I can give you a great deal on that dress and your entire wedding?the manager said, as she ushered her clerk to help another bride-to-be. “I’ve got a great deal now, that very few are getting offered where I will put together the entire ensemble for your Bridal line. The Maid of Honor Dress, the Bride’s Maids and Flowers Girls, yours and I mean fix up from head to toe. All of them will be beautiful originals and none of them would be any more gorgeous then that one you’ve got on now?the manager said, with a smile. “For the dress itself, it’s actually $1,579.65. For the dress, the gloves, the shoes and the tiara it comes to roughly about $4,578.95, which is a pretty reasonable price for a Chanel dress, if you ask me?she said, with a smile. I bit my lower lip gingerly, thinking over my options.

“Give us a minute?Summer asked, as the manager nodded, walking away to give us some privacy. Summer and I walked back into the dressing room and I sighed, looking up at her. “I know it’s not that much money but, really Summer?4,600 for a wedding dress…am I insane for thinking that’s way too much??I asked, looking at her as she unzipped the gown. “Honestly, Jeanette. You’ve spent more then that on shoes in a month and you know it. The only reason you’re so nervous about this dress, is because it’s your wedding. Everyone gets nervous before their big day, sweetie. It’s nothing to frit about. Besides, even if Kev were to gripe about the gown and it’s price, I’m sure you’ll find someway to make it up to him?she nudged and winked, in a joking manner. “Haha, very funny Summer. Although, that is kind of true. I could probably use that method to get out of any trouble with Kevin. Of course, I could also use that method to get into tons of trouble…?I said, wondering. “So it’s not too much, Summer??I asked, hoping she’d reassure me that everything would be fine. “It’s actually a really good price. And so much less then you were thinking. Now calm down…we al know you’ve got the money to pay for a dress like this. As does Kevin and your parents. You’ve just got butterflies, which makes you nervous. Now get out there and take that deal before the manager pulls it off the table. And whatever you do, no ugly wedding colors. I don’t look good in ugly?Summer said, jokingly as I slid on my pants and shirt again. She slid the dress back onto the original hanger and put the tiara back in its place holder.

I emerged through the curtain fully dressed and waved the manager over. I smiled confidently, and soon after, Summer emerged with the dress and all smiles. “I will take the dress ?and the deal. Now, my ladies are all quite beautiful and none of them look good in ugly. And I am not about to have my first ?and hopefully only ?wedding be ruined by tacky styles, fashion, colors and mimicked décor so it must be all 100% original and authentic. I don’t like fakes and I definitely won’t hesitate to tell you when I don’t like something. Now, judging by that dress, I think I can trust you to decorate my wedding and my girls, and this here is my best friend and Maid of Honor, and her dress has to be the second prettiest in the entire line up. Second to mine, of course?I said, in a stern voice. “Don’t worry, you, I and your Maid of Honor will become quite good friends. And I think your wedding is going to be one of thee best that I ever do. I love when women know exactly what they want. There are so many rookie impressionists out there that do as their told and end up hating their wedding. You, my dear, will be quite satisfied with the final product. Have you picked out your colors yet??she asked, as she took the dress from Summer. “Actually, yes. I want a beautiful, deep purple and a lighter shade…almost lavender but not quite. I want them to be harmonized…in a sense. I want the perfect deep purple to be matched with its perfect, lighter sister?and none of this violet crap. That’s too…what the word…traditional is for me. And mix in silver please. Silver goes best with everything and, I’m pretty sure it’d be easier to find more things in silver and purple then any other combination of colors?I said, with a smile as we walked to the register. Reaching into my purse, I pulled out a Visa card with an unlimited amount of funds on it. As she rang up the dress and its accessories ?shoes included ?I handed her the card. And, as usual, it was approved. With a smile, she wrapped the dress in its protective covering and laid it on a rack so’s not to wrinkle it. “Now, I can hold the dress here and then, a week before the wedding we can do a final fitting and you can take it home when it’s done. And, trust me; it will be done by the time of your wedding. When is it, exactly??the manager asked, as she handed me the receipt of my purchases. “January the 10th. I know I’ve come in on such a late notice, but…it was a spur of the moment thing and, I’ve been away on business quite a bit lately. This is the only time I’ve had in weeks to sit down and plan things out. We’ve got most of the bigger things already done, thanks to Summer here and now it’s just down to the attire, place settings, the decorations…all the smaller things that usually take the longest to organize. Think you can work with that amount of time frame??I asked, nervously. “Actually, that is the perfect time frame. I was hoping to take a ‘vacation?this time of year anyway?she replied with a wink. “Yours is the only wedding I’m doing right now and yours has me undivided attention. Trust me, beautiful; your wedding is going to be a spectacular event. Now, I’ll need to see you, your bride’s maids, the maid of honor ?of course, and the flower girls in here within the week for proper fittings. We haven’t got a moment to spare; I want to make sure you have the best wedding ever. We can arrange for meetings after business hours, so that no one else is in the store to snag up ideas and bother us. Here’s my card?she said, as she handed me a small white card with her name and contact information on it “and on the back is my personal home and cell phone numbers. If you need anything, you call me. And, when you’re all ready to come out for those fittings, you call me?she said, with a smile as she ushered us to the door.

“Thank you so much, Chantel. I have no idea what I would’ve done without you and Summer to guide me through this rather stressful event. God, I cannot wait…in under a month, I am going to be Misses. Kevin Sane?I said, as I walked through the door with a huge, proud smile etched across my face. The sales manager smiled as Summer followed me out of the door. Soon, we were walking down the street, talking amongst each other, arms linked as we continued our day of shopping and fun together. “You know?Summer whispered in my ear, so that no one else could hear. “That story about the dress was a lie?she said, with a smile. I snapped my head and looked at her. “You mean that’s not a Chanel original?!?I panicked, wanting to head back into that store and go off. “No silly, it is. But it was specially crafted and pre-ordered by me. I remember when we were dress shopping for mine, and you saw one in Chanel’s New York penthouse during one of the fittings, that you thought was beautiful. Summer Fox is a sly dog, sweetheart and you’ll figure that out, one day?we laughed, as I sighed. “Anyway, Coco owed me a favor and she repaid me by having that dress custom made and perfectly fitted for you. Consider it…an early wedding gift?she said, with a wink as we walked into another shop, not too far from the wedding shop. “Summer, you are the best friend I could ever ask for. Not only are you a Queen in the ring, but you’re a fashion dynamite…just like me…and you’re a fucking Rockstar. Thanks sooo much Summer?I said, as we embraced in another hug. Moments later, we found ourselves slumming through the racks and racks of clothes that seemed to surround us in this store, picking out everything from pants and shirts to dresses and mini skirts. It was definitely a girl’s day out, and no one could shop better then Summer and I.

As I sat there, in this luxurious bridal shop on Rodaeo Drive in Beverly Hills, that I began to wonder; what the hell was I thinking?

I stood with four full length mirrors surrounding me as I held the dress up in front of me.

?FONT color=#cc3366>Isn’t it the most gorgeous dress you’ve ever seen, Summer??I asked, enthusiastically. She smiled, pulling my hair back into a messy bun as I hung the dress up on a rack that was in the dressing room. ?FONT color=#cc6699>It’s gorgeous, Jeanie. ?FONT color=#cc3366>God Summer, I can’t even believe that I am engaged…that I am about to be someone’s bride. ?FONT color=#cc3366>Oh my God Summer…this is?oh my God?/FONT>?I said, I could barely finish a single sentence, I was so overwhelmed. ?FONT color=#cc6699>I know Jeanie. You look positively radiant in that dress?Summer said, with a smile. ?FONT color=#cc6699>Now, for the finishing touch?she said, as she placed the sparkling, diamond encrusted tiara on the top of my head. ?FONT color=#cc6699>This is going to be the most beautiful gown ever, Jeanie. You look beautiful. Despite the price you pay on it, I think Kevin could easily let that slide once he sees how magnificent you look in this Chanel original?Summer said, as she stood behind me. ?FONT color=#cc6699>Your hair could be worn up in a bun, with the tiara fitted in and curls that cascade down from the bun, with the perfect amount of bounce to them. ?FONT color=#cc3366>Summer, this dress is perfect. Kevin might get mad at the price but, like you said, he’d forget all about it when he saw me in it. It’s absolutely perfect Summer, I just have to have it!?I screamed loudly.

?FONT color=#666666>Is everything okay in there?the sales clerk asked, as she tapped on the curtain some. ?FONT color=#cc3366>Everything is perfect?I said, as I continued to look at myself. ?FONT color=#666666>Wow?the clerk said, with a smile ?FONT color=#666666>You really do make a beautiful bride, sweetheart?she said, as she turned my slightly, to make sure everything fit perfectly. ?FONT color=#666666>And, I don’t think that this gown would look this gorgeous on anyone else but you?she continued, with a comforting smile. ?FONT color=#cc3366>Thank you so much?I said, with a smile. ?FONT color=#cc3366>I absolutely love it and I just have to have it…but I am terrified. How much is it, exactly??I asked, biting my bottom lip nervously. ?FONT color=#666666>Actually, judging by how happy you are in that dress, I think we can work up a deal or two?the clerk said, with a smile as she called for her manager. ?FONT color=#666666>This is the manager, and I’m sure once she notices how positively spectacular you look in that dress, she will be more then willing to give you a fantastic deal?the clerk continued, as the manager walked over. “Good afternoon ladies?the manager said. ?FONT color=#333333>I am Chantel, the store manager here. I see you’ve tried on the Chanel dress that was brought in, it lost absolutely amazing on you. Of course, there is one thing that’s missing?the manager added, with a smile. She reached over, pulling out a pair of satin, pearl white gloves that she slid over my arms. ?FONT color=#333333>Now, now you look like a perfect Princess Bride?she said, with a smile. ?FONT color=#cc3366>Thank you so much. You have no idea how beautiful I feel in this dress. Like a bonifide stunner, really. And I’d love to buy it for my wedding next month. How much is it??I asked, coyly, hoping it wasn’t more then I was thinking it was. ?FONT color=#333333>Actually, I can give you a great deal on that dress and your entire wedding?the manager said, as she ushered her clerk to help another bride-to-be. ?FONT color=#333333>I’ve got a great deal now, that very few are getting offered where I will put together the entire ensemble for your Bridal line. The Maid of Honor Dress, the Bride’s Maids and Flowers Girls, yours and I mean fix up from head to toe. All of them will be beautiful originals and none of them would be any more gorgeous then that one you’ve got on now?the manager said, with a smile. ?FONT color=#333333>For the dress itself, it’s actually $1,579.65. For the dress, the gloves, the shoes and the tiara it comes to roughly about $4,578.95, which is a pretty reasonable price for a Chanel dress, if you ask me?she said, with a smile. I bit my lower lip gingerly, thinking over my options.

?FONT color=#cc6699>Give us a minute?Summer asked, as the manager nodded, walking away to give us some privacy. Summer and I walked back into the dressing room and I sighed, looking up at her. ?FONT color=#cc3366>I know it’s not that much money but, really Summer?4,600 for a wedding dress…am I insane for thinking that’s way too much??I asked, looking at her as she unzipped the gown. ?FONT color=#cc6699>Honestly, Jeanette. ?FONT color=#cc3366>Haha, very funny Summer. Although, that is kind of true. I could probably use that method to get out of any trouble with Kevin. Of course, I could also use that method to get into tons of trouble?/FONT>?I said, wondering. ?FONT color=#cc3366>So it’s not too much, Summer??I asked, hoping she’d reassure me that everything would be fine. ?FONT color=#cc6699>It’s actually a really good price.

?FONT color=#cc3366>I will take the dress ?and the deal. ?FONT color=#cc6699>Don’t worry, you, I and your Maid of Honor will become quite good friends. ?FONT color=#cc3366>Actually, yes. ?FONT color=#cc6699>Now, I can hold the dress here and then, a week before the wedding we can do a final fitting and you can take it home when it’s done. And, trust me; it will be done by the time of your wedding. When is it, exactly??the manager asked, as she handed me the receipt of my purchases. ?FONT color=#cc3366>January the 10th. ?FONT color=#cc6699>Actually, that is the perfect time frame. I was hoping to take a ‘vacation?this time of year anyway?she replied with a wink. ?FONT color=#cc6699>Yours is the only wedding I’m doing right now and yours has me undivided attention. Here’s my card?she said, as she handed me a small white card with her name and contact information on it ?FONT color=#cc6699>and on the back is my personal home and cell phone numbers. If you need anything, you call me. And, when you’re all ready to come out for those fittings, you call me?she said, with a smile as she ushered us to the door.

?FONT color=#cc3366>Thank you so much, Chantel. ?FONT color=#cc6699>You know?Summer whispered in my ear, so that no one else could hear. ?FONT color=#cc6699>That story about the dress was a lie?she said, with a smile. I snapped my head and looked at her. ?FONT color=#cc3366>You mean that’s not a Chanel original?!?I panicked, wanting to head back into that store and go off. ?FONT color=#cc6699>No silly, it is. ?FONT color=#cc3366>Anyway, Coco owed me a favor and she repaid me by having that dress custom made and perfectly fitted for you. Consider it…an early wedding gift?she said, with a wink as we walked into another shop, not too far from the wedding shop. ?FONT color=#cc3366>Summer, you are the best friend I could ever ask for.

WE'RE SHOPPING DOWN RODAEO DRIVE.

As I sat there, in this luxurious bridal shop on Rodaeo Drive in Beverly Hills, that I began to wonder; what the hell was I thinking?

?FONT color=#cc6699>Find anything you like yet, hun??she asked me. I looked at her, puzzled and just shook my head. ?FONT color=#cc3366>No. ?FONT color=#cc6699>Chanel eh??Summer asked, intrigued. ?FONT color=#cc3366>I didn’t even think they made wedding dresses?Summer mumbled under her breath so none of the other major celebs and fashion-first rich woman in the store could hear. ?FONT color=#666666>Normally, she doesn’t?a voice echoed, behind us. Summer and I jumped slightly, turning around to be face to face with one of the stores sales clerks, who proudly smiled. ?FONT color=#666666>Actually, she makes very few and only for a handful of celebrities that they find to be worthy enough. It’s quite hard to find a Chanel inspired wedding dress, especially one like that. So, which one of you lovely ladies are we fitting for a wedding gown today?the sales clerk smiled, while asking. Summer pointed at me, as she turned her attention to some of the other dresses in the shop. ?FONT color=#666666>Lovely. You know, you’ve got the perfect skin tone to pull off a dress like that. And you look to be about a size two…am I right??the sales clerk asked. Good eye, actually, as I smiled and nodded my head. ?FONT color=#cc3366>That sounds about right. Sometimes I can squeeze into something smaller, comfortably, but a two is absolutely perfect. So tell me, is that an authentic Chanel gown? It is positively gorgeous-spectacular and I have got to have one like it. I bet that one’s sold already but if the?/FONT>?before I could finish my sentence, the clerk held her hand up to stop my, in a polite manner, with a smile. ?FONT color=#666666>Actually, that gown belongs to no one. ?FONT color=#666666>And, lucky for you it is the perfect size two. Care to try it on?she asked. I was beyond speechless and just smiled, taking the dress in my hand with excitement. ?FONT color=#cc6699>I think she’d love to?Summer answered. The sales clerk ushered us to a huge dressing area that seemed like a room in itself, pulling the curtain closed. I stood with four full length mirrors surrounding me as I held the dress up in front of me.

?FONT color=#cc3366>God Summer, I can’t even believe that I am engaged…that I am about to be someone’s bride.

?FONT color=#cc3366>I will take the dress ?and the deal. ?FONT color=#cc6699>Don’t worry, you, I and your Maid of Honor will become quite good friends. ?FONT color=#cc3366>Actually, yes. ?FONT color=#cc6699>Actually, that is the perfect time frame. I was hoping to take a ‘vacation?this time of year anyway?she replied with a wink. ?FONT color=#cc6699>Yours is the only wedding I’m doing right now and yours has me undivided attention.

MAIN INFLUENCE: Wedding dress shopping with Summer.
PURPOSE: Just to slowly start getting into this whole wedding thing. And to cure boredom at work, lol.

WE'RE SHOPPING DOWN RODAEO DRIVE.

As I sat there, in this luxurious bridal shop on Rodaeo Drive in Beverly Hills, that I began to wonder; what the hell was I thinking?

?FONT color=#de5aad>Find anything you like yet, hun??she asked me. I looked at her, puzzled and just shook my head. ?FONT color=#c12f66>No. ?FONT color=#de5aad>Chanel eh??Summer asked, intrigued. ?FONT color=#de5aad>I didn’t even think they made wedding dresses?Summer mumbled under her breath so none of the other major celebs and fashion-first rich woman in the store could hear. ?FONT color=#666666>Normally, she doesn’t?a voice echoed, behind us. Summer and I jumped slightly, turning around to be face to face with one of the stores sales clerks, who proudly smiled. ?FONT color=#666666>Actually, she makes very few and only for a handful of celebrities that she finds to be worthy enough. ?FONT color=#c12f66>That sounds about right. ?FONT color=#666666>And, lucky for you it is the perfect size two. Care to try it on?she asked. I was beyond speechless and just smiled, taking the dress in my hand with excitement. ?FONT color=#de5aad>I think she’d love to?Summer answered. The sales clerk ushered us to a huge dressing area that seemed like a room in itself, pulling the curtain closed. I stood with four full length mirrors surrounding me as I held the dress up in front of me.

?FONT color=#c12f66>Isn’t it the most gorgeous dress you’ve ever seen, Summer??I asked, enthusiastically. She smiled, pulling my hair back into a messy bun as I hung the dress up on a rack that was in the dressing room. ?FONT color=#de5aad>It’s gorgeous, Jeanie. ?FONT color=#c12f66>God Summer, I can’t even believe that I am engaged…that I am about to be someone’s bride. ?FONT color=#c12f66>Oh my God Summer…this is?oh my God?/FONT>?I said, I could barely finish a single sentence, I was so overwhelmed. ?FONT color=#de5aad>I know Jeanie. You look positively radiant in that dress?Summer said, with a smile. ?FONT color=#de5aad>Now, for the finishing touch?she said, as she placed the sparkling, diamond encrusted tiara on the top of my head. ?FONT color=#de5aad>This is going to be the most beautiful gown ever, Jeanie. You look beautiful. Despite the price you pay on it, I think Kevin could easily let that slide once he sees how magnificent you look in this Chanel original?Summer said, as she stood behind me. ?FONT color=#de5aad>Your hair could be worn up in a bun, with the tiara fitted in and curls that cascade down from the bun, with the perfect amount of bounce to them. ?FONT color=#c12f66>Summer, this dress is perfect.

?FONT color=#c12f66>Everything is perfect?I said, as I continued to look at myself. Think you can work with that amount of time frame??I asked, nervously. ?FONT color=#999999>Actually, that is the perfect time frame. I was hoping to take a ‘vacation?this time of year anyway?she replied with a wink. ?FONT color=#999999>Yours is the only wedding I’m doing right now and yours has me undivided attention. Here’s my card?she said, as she handed me a small white card with her name and contact information on it ?FONT color=#999999>and on the back is my personal home and cell phone numbers. If you need anything, you call me. And, when you’re all ready to come out for those fittings, you call me?she said, with a smile as she ushered us to the door.

?FONT color=#c12f66>Thank you so much, Chantel. ?FONT color=#de5aad>You know?Summer whispered in my ear, so that no one else could hear. ?FONT color=#de5aad>That story about the dress was a lie?she said, with a smile. I snapped my head and looked at her. ?FONT color=#c12f66>You mean that’s not a Chanel original?!?I panicked, wanting to head back into that store and go off. ?FONT color=#de5aad>No silly, it is. ?FONT color=#de5aad>Anyway, Coco owed me a favor and she repaid me by having that dress custom made and perfectly fitted for you. Consider it…an early wedding gift?she said, with a wink as we walked into another shop, not too far from the wedding shop. ?FONT color=#c12f66>Summer, you are the best friend I could ever ask for.

As I sat there, in this luxurious bridal shop on Rodaeo Drive in Beverly Hills, that I began to wonder; what the hell was I thinking?

?FONT color=#de5aad>Find anything you like yet, hun??she asked me. I looked at her, puzzled and just shook my head. ?FONT color=#c12f66>No. ?FONT color=#c12f66>That sounds about right.

?FONT color=#c12f66>God Summer, I can’t even believe that I am engaged…that I am about to be someone’s bride. ?FONT color=#c12f66>Summer, this dress is perfect.

?FONT color=#c12f66>Everything is perfect?I said, as I continued to look at myself. ?FONT color=#c12f66>Thank you so much?I said, with a smile. ?FONT color=#c12f66>I absolutely love it and I just have to have it…but I am terrified. ?FONT color=#999999>Good afternoon ladies?the manager said. ?FONT color=#999999>I am Chantel, the store manager here. I see you’ve tried on the Chanel dress that was brought in, it lost absolutely amazing on you. Of course, there is one thing that’s missing?the manager added, with a smile. She reached over, pulling out a pair of satin, pearl white gloves that she slid over my arms. ?FONT color=#999999>Now, now you look like a perfect Princess Bride?she said, with a smile. ?FONT color=#c12f66>Thank you so much. You have no idea how beautiful I feel in this dress. Like a bonifide stunner, really. And I’d love to buy it for my wedding next month. How much is it??I asked, coyly, hoping it wasn’t more then I was thinking it was. ?FONT color=#999999>Actually, I can give you a great deal on that dress and your entire wedding?the manager said, as she ushered her clerk to help another bride-to-be. ?FONT color=#999999>I’ve got a great deal now, that very few are getting offered where I will put together the entire ensemble for your Bridal line. The Maid of Honor Dress, the Bride’s Maids and Flowers Girls, yours and I mean fix up from head to toe. All of them will be beautiful originals and none of them would be any more gorgeous then that one you’ve got on now?the manager said, with a smile. ?FONT color=#999999>For the dress itself, it’s actually $1,579.65. For the dress, the gloves, the shoes and the tiara it comes to roughly about $4,578.95, which is a pretty reasonable price for a Chanel dress, if you ask me?she said, with a smile. I bit my lower lip gingerly, thinking over my options.

?FONT color=#de5aad>Give us a minute?Summer asked, as the manager nodded, walking away to give us some privacy. Summer and I walked back into the dressing room and I sighed, looking up at her. ?FONT color=#c12f66>I know it’s not that much money but, really Summer?4,600 for a wedding dress…am I insane for thinking that’s way too much??I asked, looking at her as she unzipped the gown. ?FONT color=#de5aad>Honestly, Jeanette. ?FONT color=#c12f66>Haha, very funny Summer. Although, that is kind of true. I could probably use that method to get out of any trouble with Kevin. Of course, I could also use that method to get into tons of trouble?/FONT>?I said, wondering. ?FONT color=#c12f66>So it’s not too much, Summer??I asked, hoping she’d reassure me that everything would be fine. ?FONT color=#de5aad>It’s actually a really good price.

?FONT color=#c12f66>I will take the dress ?and the deal. ?FONT color=#999999>Don’t worry, you, I and your Maid of Honor will become quite good friends. ?FONT color=#c12f66>Actually, yes. ?FONT color=#999999>Now, I can hold the dress here and then, a week before the wedding we can do a final fitting and you can take it home when it’s done. And, trust me; it will be done by the time of your wedding. When is it, exactly??the manager asked, as she handed me the receipt of my purchases. ?FONT color=#c12f66>January the 10th. I mean, I’ve only dreamt about this day for twenty-three glorious years of my life. ?FONT color=#c12f66>That sounds about right.

?FONT color=#c12f66>God Summer, I can’t even believe that I am engaged…that I am about to be someone’s bride. ?FONT color=#c12f66>Summer, this dress is perfect.

?FONT color=#c12f66>Everything is perfect?I said, as I continued to look at myself. ?FONT color=#c12f66>Thank you so much?I said, with a smile. ?FONT color=#c12f66>I absolutely love it and I just have to have it…but I am terrified.

?FONT color=#c12f66>I will take the dress ?and the deal. ?FONT color=#999999>Don’t worry, you, I and your Maid of Honor will become quite good friends. ?FONT color=#c12f66>Actually, yes. ?FONT color=#999999>Actually, that is the perfect time frame. I was hoping to take a ‘vacation?this time of year anyway?she replied with a wink. ?FONT color=#999999>Yours is the only wedding I’m doing right now and yours has me undivided attention.
