that my life would end up dedicated to cleaning up dog shit!
20 years ago I would have laughed at the thought, now it seems I am condemned to the perpetual act a scooping, feeding, than of course more scooping. |

Thank you for the laugh I needed that. Your right
when I calculate the time to buy the food for them and cook some feed clean the
bowls and pick up the aftermath not to mention the upchucks and enjoy it all Who
would have thought that at this age the high point of my day would be a
beautiful formed stool.

Haha, James what do you dream about at nights?? ;-) scooping poop? I want to share my nightmare............. last night I dreamt they needed an bag (15 kilos) food per day, (2000 US dollars per month...) Maybe its because Blaze got very fat when he moved to my mum and dad - so I had to tell them stop serving him a full Swedish smorgasbord for breakfast.. haha |

Yes, Jo-Ann I have seen oppssum's teeth and I would not want to tangle with one of those guys! Am I to assume Ginger kills them? Gosh, no wonder you have nightmares about her being torn up. I have racoons all over and they can be very nasty as well. Working in the vet clinic, I have seen what raccoons and possums can do to their attackers! Maybe you should get one of those suits that the shark hunters wear and put it on Ginger!!! LOL! Guess I need some of those for my dogs as well!!! Katie "I know my Redeemer lives!" |

Yeah, she kills them. I missed one so her count is 5. Frank called her in one morning when he saw the possum. Well that was victim number 1! One got under the airconditioner unit stand (whole house type) and Fran had to use a broom handle to get it to leave the yard safely. Ginger got it when it came back. Racoons usely stay away from dogs. Ginger doesn't seem to like racoons but I would think the Coonhound next door would REALLY carry on if one was near. They live in the sewers here. During a very rainy period one went up a tree of ours and slept all day. My daughter's dogs spent the entire day barking up the tree. We brought them in until the coon left. I don't know Katie, some dogs just hunt!!!! At least we got rid of the squirrel trees - no more sprained legs, misc. bites or scratches for Ginger. We live in a city not like James. Jo-Ann |

No raccoon have been killed here, but then I have two coonhounds who bay and that might keep them away from my farm, on the other hand... the possoms come into feed on the ducks food at night.. and well... Ruby (the redbone) and Mr. Bojangles on of my Jack Russell Terriers have managed to kill two possums last year... and yes, their teeth are very scary.... I didn't manage to get the second one that was killed because Mulan had to have at it first, and carry it around as though she had made the kill.... what a FUN job it was to get her to finally drop it.... But, there are worse things out here they could come in contact w/like Copperheads, coyotes and skunks.... so they can play w/a dead varmit if they get to it before I do. Cathy :) |
