Yes, this too is a live HEAT M72A6. For those of you who are familiar with this wpn, note the improved sights, and muzzle cover. The launcher is also longer than the old one, and more effective too. This one was blown up as were all natures shortly after these pics were taken.
Note the 2 600g slabs with CE primers and det cord. The 2 slabs ensure the rocket motor and warhead are destroyed.
I first ran into these new updated M72's up at Shoalwater Bay, Qld, back in Sep/Oct 2001. By far a great improvment over the earlier ones I experienced here in Australia (known as the "66") and back in Canada, where they were know as the LAW, or SRAAW, or simply the M72. |
