Ya, for the record, thats me. Taken at a 'not so nice of a place' simply called The Limit, at Holsworthy, near Sydney. Note the 84mm HEAT strike to my left. Typical signature of such AT weapons, be they 66's or even the RPG family. That is a F88 Austeyr rifle I am holding. Standard Aussie model with 508mm barrel, 5.56 x45mm cal, using the SS109 (F1) ball ammo.
The Limit is basically a place where you can get good 'danger close' observation from. Not that anyone is observing when the 'danger close' comes in. Thats 155mm or 105mm HE by the way. It was a cold wintery August day, raining and wet, and I was tired and had little sleep that day. Taken in 1999. |
