This EK II was taken from a German PoW by my Uncle, George Allen (late of Birch Hills, Saskatchewan, Canada), some time after D-Day in 1944. If you notice the swastika has been removed, as the PoW was trying to convince my Uncle that he was not a NAZI, but just a German soldier. It is not known what front the German won the EK II on, but what is certain, it must have been a brave act. This EK was sent back home to my Dad in Saskatoon during the war. |
