*EVIL is within us :chapter o.1.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"I don't exactly have a reason why I did it."

The voice of a female can be heard as footage of a cigarette being put out on an ashtray is visible. Another cigarette manages to get into the hands of the woman and as she brings it to her red lips, we recognize a familiar face. Her signature canary yellow, green eyes are covered in a cloud of smoke as she blows into the air. She is seated on a leather loveseat accompanied by another man who simply sits on a chair drawn towards where the seat is located. This man appears to be important enough to be in the presence of her seeing as she hasn't touched him at all. Instead, she seems rather calm this evening judging by the situation she's currently in. And one would question what it might be but we'd have to just sit back and find out as nothing will be revealed at the moment.

"There doesn't really have to be a reason behind every action, right? Maybe it was just instinct, it sounded good at the moment." She pauses to reflect on her words and then shakes her head a bit. "Good wouldn't exactly be how I would describe that. I suppose it must have felt RIGHT at the moment. When I look back on it, I wasn't in a pleasant mood to say the least. Of course, there was a mixture of fear, hatred towards my mother and the ever popular regret. Believe it or not, I regret what I had done. I regret hurting them but I don't think I'd be willing to trade in what I got for their lives."

The man raises his eyebrows in disbelief and immediately questions her coldness.

"Are you saying you wouldn't go back and change the fact that you murdered your parents for some small amount of affection your father provided you with?"

Arachne just glares at him but then the look of horror on her face changes as she lets out a soft, playful chuckle.

"No, no, it wasn't like that. I matured a lot faster than other girls my age, you see. My breasts were of a bigger cup and my body had changed but the innocence in my face stayed the same. I was daddy's little girl and he always thought of me like that. I loved him sincerely but he was also a man, a member of the opposite sex. He had a certain charm to him that I bet my mother died for. But it was my turn to please the only man in our lives and I believe I did a better job than her. I had what she didn't have and he saw that himself, therefore choosing to be with me sexually. I liked the way he held me, it just seemed like he really did love me."

With a nod of his head, the man seems like he can't agree with her more. "He was your father. He had to love you."

"You'd think so." says the formerly blonde temptress. "When my mother found out about our ecounters she was furious. A little shocked at first and she assumed my father was forcing it but I assured her that it was not the case. After that, he couldn't have taken her side more. I do admit, I was blinded by anger when I stole their lives from them but isn't everyone's first like that? I don't believe I caused them as much pain as one would assume seeing as I was like a virgin girl on prom night during the slaughter."

"So how did you dispose of the bodies?" asks the sharply dressed man. Got right to the point, didn't he?

"After I committed the sin, I was ready to hide their lifeless bodies somewhere in the attic where nobody ever went. But people would come looking for evidence and it was too easy. I chopped their bodies in pieces and wondered if I could spread them around the house, maybe burry them but that wasn't good either. Later, I found myself grinding their remains and pouring it out in the yard but I couldn't leave a shred of their evidence. So alas, I drank it all." And then she wore a cunning smile on her face. One that would have the judge sentence her to life without parole. Obviously, it must have struck a nerve in the man as he, with all the nerve in the world, lets the disgust slip through his face. "You think I'm a freak of nature, don't you? I saw the look you gave me, Timothy." pursing her lips together, she rolls her eyes at him. "C'mon, tell me you wouldn't do that if you were in the same situation?"

"I couldn't say I would." says the man we know as her lawyer.

She slams her fist into the table before her to get a rise out of him and what she asks for, she gets. Standing up from the loveseat, she towers over him while speaking creating an illusion of dominance and power over him when clearly he's the one with the power.

"You'd think it wouldn't taste good but it sure did. I couldn't believe I never tried that before. Have you ever been treated to creme brulee, beef stroganoff? Well, it was better than that. Just the thrill of having to earn your meal in such a controversial manner. The smell of their fear during the hunting only adds to the pleasure." pausing for a minute to look in his eyes, she senses fear. It's literally pouring out of his pores in front of her. "Do you want to try human flesh?" she inquires with a coy smile on her face.

"No, thank you." he says, not a crack in his voice.

"No?!" she repeats in a much louder tone which must have sent a chill down his spine but he still sat with confidence, as if she weren't a threat to him. "Are you trying to enrage me? Do you know what happens to most of my clients?"

"Clients? Aren't they prey?"

Her face loses all emotion as she says the words "Taste it". But no, he refuses once more. "Taste it, I command you." she extends her hand over towards his mouth but he pushes it away instead.

"I'm giving you just one more chance to do this."

No answer.

"Very well then.." she concludes in a soft tone and then pounces on him like a cheetah. He yells as she begins to sink her teeth into his arm causing an endless amount of pain. It was as though she had suddenly become an animal; her actions were uncontrollable and she did not make conversation to make herself seem human.

But what happened from then on?

Her lawyer was not dead yet. He still roams the planet freely. But that is just a mere assumption. Maybe he is constantly haunted by the voice of Arachne encouraging him to take his first bite of cannibalism. But why did she spare him? She could have easily devoured his body and raped his soul but she chose to let him go free for one reason only.

"We're both one in the same, Hawkins." her voice was heard over a black screen. "You and me are like two peas in a pod. You'll find it when the time is right, just let it consume you. You can't deny nature forever."

Her signature chuckles followed those words before they grew faint.

To be continued..

*EVIL is within us :chapter o.1.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"In life, nothing lasts forever. It all comes and goes without notice therefore leaving you unable to really embrace what you once had and causes you to regret what you should have done to help the situation. Perhaps you should have taken another route to get to your destination, but then it wouldn't feel the same. You wouldn't have been able to acknowledge your mistakes to prevent them from taking place again in the future. But all you get in life is one chance to make an impression and if you fail you'll be easily replaced, not missed and there won't be any traces of you left behind. Somewhat like a distant memory, only no one will remember you anymore. What you have to realize is that the world is filled with people who can easily make mistakes without realization. Therefore relying on their poor judgement will only keep you running in circles to find out where you went wrong. Perhaps they were swept out of your life for bigger and better people to replace them. Perhaps they did not give you the correct amount of attention you deserved. Therefore I cast my admonishments at those who do rely on the opinions of their bias peers. As for me, I never believed a word that was spat out from between another human being's lips."

A blue Chevrolet Aveo drove past our evil little Arachne who was sitting outside a restaurant and enjoying the daylight. Not that there was anything to enjoy but she was conducting an interview with someone currently. This one seemed to be over the phone however.

"So you really don't care what people think about you?" The voice on the other end seemed familiar but we couldn't quite place our finger on it.

"I do, Timmy, but I don't take it literally. It doesn't matter what they put on my epitaph since I'm going to hell anyways. Isn't that what I deserve?"

Alas, we have learned that the other person on the line is in fact the same Timothy Hawkins she met with four years ago.

"For the record, it's Timothy or Mr. Hawkins to you, never Timmy." he stated in a stern voice. Standing right across the street on a cell phone of his own so she could see him. It just so happens that he got a restraining order against her due to what happened previously. But there was something about him that sent chills down her body when she saw him. It just seemed like he had changed. There was a more of a man inside him now than before.

"Whatever, Timmy." She loved to aggravate him for the outcome but this time it wasn't the same.

"You don't know what you're getting yourself into, bitch." Suddenly all the world's confidence was bestowed only upon him. "I could kill you with my bare arms. You've ruined my life and given me nightmares for the past three years. Finally, in the last year I gave you what you wanted."

She smiled upon hearing that knowing exactly what he was talking about.

"Why don't you come down here, baby. That restraining order is making me want you even more." She waved from across the street to let him know where she was. But much to her dismay he wasn't there anymore. She stood up from her seat at once, sticking her head up higher to see where he was but he was no where in sight. Suddenly the lights went off as two hands enveloped over her eyes. A very soft but sexy "Boo" was heard from behind her and she knew exactly who it was. His scent, even with that suspicious new cologne he was hiding behind, was still the same underneath.

"Hi." she said as though she was meeting him for the very first time. There was no deeper meaning to the simple word, something she had always used as a weapon against others.

"Umm..hello?" he replied with a shocked look. Perhaps he saw her in a different light than before but we're not quite sure since she attacked him and it left a scar forever.

Without any second though, she kissed him with passion. They stood there, under the roof of the coffee shop in an embrace, lips locked, like a perfect normal couple. Nobody would be able to tell that they were really two vicious people, both victims who had become predators.

Sitting inside a rather quite shelter as the thick walls block any sound from passing in and out of it, is the shadow of a feminine figure basking in the heat of the small fire place. Her palms are clammy from the perspiration caused by the heat of the fire. Her crowning glory that is her hair drapes over her back all the way over her face making it less visible. Humming, she sat there in peace making as less movement as she could. Her face was now visible - there was blood on her mouth and the fire from the fireplace reflected in her eyes. She did not dare blink once as she was staring at the bones in front of her. The bones that we could only assume belonged to the man she was with this morning. After much hesitation, she lifted them one by one and tossed them into the fireplace.
