Chapter o.1; just as crazy.

A friend is not necessarily someone of great virtue but could be a vessel of absolute truth. It is only an enemy or someone that is naturally fearful of you that lies to your face. Very rarely did the unstable Arachne find an acquaintance in someone else but she believed that another person out there would share her beliefs and be able to work with her against the world. She seldom met people who did that, however, and that drove her to loathe the world, the people that influenced it and the sheep that nodded along with them. As she came across each man or woman, she doubted their integrity. Intergrity did not equal the desire to be kind, generous or ethically intact but rather the art of sticking to the morals one claims to live by. Certain people preached greatness, preached the word of God and simply left it at that. They did not follow him blindly nor heed his advice. Instead, they simply accepted the fact that they were flawed and if they put their hands into something it would shatter with the slightest touch. Those were the type of people that should be broken into, blood drained and remains eaten by our lovely Arachne before they corrupt the world with their self loathing nonsense.

The raven haired beauty was all by herself, but not quite. All eyes were on her at all times robbing her of any freedom she wasn't allowed to have since they took her in.  She sat on her bed in a rather moderately genuine hotel room, playing with a the big orange kneed spider she had brought with her in a jar. She reminisced about the cheap motels that provided her with an abundance of small insects, specifically spiders that she toyed with and later consumed. Thinking of a great many things when as the eight legged creature crawled atop her naked back, she could feel it's small, sharp legs poke into her with little force as it walked back and forth. She thought of last week when she met someone, a female to be precise, backstage in New York. There were a few superstars that made it to LOTU and weren't featured on the show but this meeting that took place was beyond any human comprehension.

"Rain Storms," she said flatly upon seeing what was to be pressumed as a crazy woman backstage. Rain was seated outside a locker room, her lower body sprawled across the floor as she gazed about. She didn't even see Arachne approaching her as she was walking rather quickly through the hallway. But once she spotted a friend, she stopped for a chat.

The understanding these two had came from inside. They seldom spoke to each other and were lost for words when they did. It was an immediate understanding the two women shared about each other, the things they did, about the world.

"Hello Spidy," replied Rain in a soft, saccharine tone. She then tilted her head slightly and a smile cut across her face.

"What the fuck do you want?"

However, there was one problem with the mutual friendship Rain shared with "Spidy". Rain's other half, Kira, had her own suspicions about the cannibal. She believed Arachne would end up betraying Rain at one point and the consequences these two would pay would be far greater than they ever had to. Arachne's teeth were capable of tearing through Rain's flesh and if she pleased, she could consume the two of them. Despite her constant protesting, Arachne promised that she wouldn't so much as run her pink tongue across Rain's skin.

"I'm here to speak to my friend, Rain." Her voice didn't falter as she spoke with much determination. It was no secret that she hated Kira.

"She's not here."

The voice said trying to push Arachne away but she stood her ground.

"She'll return soon, won't she?" asked Arachne but she was not looking for any answers.

Just then the sounds of paramedics rushing towards them were heard. The main event was over and a few wrestlers were being carried over with a doctor tending to their deep wounds. Rain shot Arachne this look of terror and then said: "I have to handle something."

She knew it was Rain and not Kira as she dragged herself off the floor and walked towards the scene. Arachne watched her friend walking away and then slowly slipped into the darkness behind them. But before she left, she took a second glance at the locker room and saw 'ROT' in black calligraphy displayed on the gold plate.

It was 11:35 am and Arachne gazed at the door to her suite. A soft knocking could be heard, possibly from the opposite side and she wondered who was curious enough to come visit her at such a late hour.

She opened the door to Jesse James Curtis who wore an angry look on his face as though he had just come to her from a fight with his wife. Smiling at him, she slowly pushed her body aside, leaving an opening for him to enter.

"No," he said shaking his head. "No, I'm not going to be alone with you in there."

Laughing now, Arachne slowly brushed a long strand of hair to towards her side.

"What's the matter, Jess?" she asked coyly. "Afraid I might try to sleep with you?"

"No," he said simply. "NO!" he repeated loudly as though she was deaf. "I just don't want to be your midnight snack. And before you assume things, my marriage is fine and I will find no thrill in sleeping with you anyways."

She pouted like an insecure whore, trying to garner his attention.

"And why not?"

He simply ignored her and continued, wanting to get straight to the point.

"I came here to ask you where the hell you were when we were all out there?" he says irritatedly. "You told me you were going to be there, everyone else knew that and then you don't show up. Decaine was just about ready to fire you until I told him I had it under control."

"Do you?" she asked. Her green eyes were smiling as her lips began to spread to the sides of her face.

Jesse shot her a glare and then rolled his eyes.

"Be there next time or I'm not going to make any excuse for you."

Just before he was about to leave, she stopped him by tugging onto his shirt. At first he thought he was literally going to die right there and then and hoped that if he screamed loudly enough, someone would find them before she sunk her teeth into him.

"I met a friend," said Arachne followed by a soft chuckle. "I was talking to her the whole time. I was there but I couldn't make it. I'm sorry. It won't happen the next time."

He looked at her for a minute, emotionless, and then shrugged his shoulders.

"Just for kicks, who was this friend?"

"Rot."

This made him furious and instead of confronting her about it, he simply walked away. She watched him rush towards the elevator in the long hallway. After pushing the button a few times, he glanced at her and then rushed towards a door that led to the staircase.
