After a disappointing match against Rot during the Lord of the underground tournament, now that the tourney was finished with, Jesse James Curtis was about to embark on a new path in his career. Though it might have been one that didn‘t exactly work in his favor, it was what it was and he had to accept that. After Aaron O’Brien’s plans for Bryce Manning backfired, the infuriated tri-owner decided to take action against his new foes. He tossed Bryce in a match with his own blood, Caleb Stephens and just for kicks, he added Jesse James Curtis, who had been one of Decaine’s loyalists as of late, to the three way dance.
It was crystal clear that Aaron intended for Jesse to suffer due to Bryce Manning and Caleb Stephen’s blatant close friendship. He was almost forcing Curtis to make a decision; turn his back on Decaine’s regime or endure another loss after his upset with Rot.
But that wasn’t the end of it. Bryce Manning, the newly crowned IICX champion offered JJC the opportunity of a lifetime. Since Cross had been suspended from the arena, they decided that it was best to let another man into the unholy trinity and looked no further than their opponent this week in Jesse James Curtis. The deal was that as long as Curtis stayed out of the way and the match went as planned, he’d be kicking it with the best boys in the business. However, if Jesse decided to go against Bryce, they would ensure that his wrestling career ends at Exhibition. This match was going to define whether Jesse James was a team player or a man that was seemingly ready to stand on his own two feet.
Belle Castle was on a mission. She had to find Jesse James Curtis, who seemingly had all eyes, and ears, glued to him since Bryce’s offer during the course of the week and she had to do it before Edgar Asburn. No one had heard from Curtis since and Aaron O’Brien promised to give whoever found him as quickly as possible a raise. The man was truly desperate to find out whether Jesse would accept the chance of a lifetime Bryce handed to him on a silver platter or screw Decaine and his boys over and whilst doing that, through the grace of God, manage to walk out the winner of the Triangle Match with the IICX champion draped over his shoulder to O’Brien’s rather small, powerless team he had managed to force together.
Alas, it was Belle Castle, IICX’s most loathed interviewer, who was getting a raise this week as she rushed towards Jesse James Curtis after spotting him ironically in the one place no one bothered to look, his locker room. Unfortunately for Belle, he had just thrown on a t-shirt moments before she rushed in therefore she was unable to capture a glimpse of his sexy body. Nevertheless, she threw her arms around Jesse and placed two kisses on each of his cheeks, almost unaware that he was married at the time.
“Hello Belle,�?he said upon tearing himself away from her but not with force. “What brings you here?�?/FONT>
“Have you been living under a rock for the past few days?�?she asks encouraging a look of displeasure on his face. “Did you hear about Bryce’s offer? Are you going to take it? Do you know what’ll happen to you if you go against Bryce? Are you really working for O’Brien?�?/FONT> Belle seemed so enthusiastic that she drowned Jesse in questions before he could even answer the first. It made him wonder much O’Brien had paid her for this.
“Chill out, Belle,�?he requested. “Take a seat and we‘ll get to business.�?/FONT>
The two of them sat down on the black leather couch provided by Decaine in Jesse’s own locker room. He was forced to bear the stench Kevin Sane had to offer the weeks prior to this.
“So have you heard the solution Bryce had to your match this upcoming exhibition?�?she inquires once again, just dying to squeeze the answer out of him. �?FONT color=#666666>Also where have you been all this time? Edgar and I had been desperately trying to reach you. I figured you’d be giving his offer a lot of thought and desired to be left alone for a while. Edgar, however, kept calling every ten or so minutes and I almost thought I was going to lose out to him. I’m so glad I didn’t!�?/FONT> she exclaims. “Look at my fucking hair, Jesse. I need new extensions and the money would surely be sweet.�?/FONT>
She holds up a few strands of her blonde hair up, all split at the end and Jesse shoots her an awkward smile.
“That explains all the threatening voice mails I received from Ashburn but thanks for letting me have my privacy. I was actually taking care of some family matters and not contemplating whether I should accept or decline Bryce’s offer, I’ve already made my mind up on that the moment his promo aired,�?he states confidently.
“And what might that decision be?�?questioned Belle but she received no immediate answer.
He gazed at her and shook his head at her instead. “I’ll get to that part later. There’s a lot that I’ve seen in the past couple of weeks and I just wanted to clear a few things up. First of all, I am aligned with Mr. Decaine because regardless of whether he is deemed a bad guy or good guy by the IICX roster, the man stands behind his word. I truly respect the man and his undeniable ingenuity. On the other hand, I had some sort of admiration for O’Brien and the way he worked. I was under the impression that he gave his employees a fair shake and really stood by them but if that truly was the case, why do most who align themselves with him, turn their backs on the man who really wants to push them in the right direction? Well I certainly realized why today, Belle.�?/FONT>
Belle arched both her eyebrows and wonders aloud, “What did you realize?�?/FONT>
“I realized that Aaron O’Brien is a hypocrite,�?he stated coldly. “It’s astounding what a man does with his back is against the wall, especially since he had Manning and Stephens backing him into a corner. Just because he’s fighting a losing battle against Decaine, the man turns on his morals that he shoved down our throats week in and week out since IICX opened its doors. This match proves that he’s grasping at straws, trying to tear Decaine’s family apart. Not only that but he suspended Cross from the arena just because the man was a threat to him.�?/FONT>
The woman seemingly nodded her head as if she was agreeing with him but then she immediately snapped out of it after remembering that he would be the one giving her the raise. Jesse, however, didn’t stop there.
“So now he has tossed me in a match against Bryce and Caleb in order to stir the pot and see what happens. Now O’Brien is no idiot, although he has proven this statement wrong over and over again. I know that he knows Caleb isn’t going to attempt to steal the title away from Bryce so he threw me to the dogs because he figured that the two of them wouldn’t have a problem taking me out and if they did, Decaine would lose one of his supporters and he would hopefully gain one. Much to O’Brien’s dismay, that’s not going to happen,�?Jesse concludes with a not so subtle smile.
“Then what is?�?inquired Belle as if she were prompting him to the get to the main point, which she was. “Are you going to accept Bryce’s offer?�?/FONT>
Nodding his head, wearing that same smile he continues, “Of course I am, Belle. Bryce is a very smart man, you see. I truly respect him at what he does, I’ve actually been a fan of his for a while now. I’d be honored to align myself with Bryce and Caleb. Let’s make O’Brien regret this unwise decision he’s made. I’m sure after this week he’ll realize that blood is thicker than water. I guess he should have figured that out when he let Bree down by aligning himself with that whore Kendrix.�?/FONT>
So there was your answer, Jesse James Curtis had officially accepted Bryce Manning’s offer to be part of the unholy trinity. Belle was rather excited as it was through her that IICX was made aware of the situation with the Unholy Trinity and JJC.
“That’s excellent, Jesse!�?Belle cooed. Little did she know that this raise wasn’t going to happen because though she did get an answer for O’Brien, she didn’t get the right one.
