With another smile, Eric puts his hand out for his lady to take it so he can walk her
back home but she just sits back and watches him, the look on her face resembling
that of a housewife who's husband has disappointed her in some way or the other,
indicating that something isn't right.
"Eric," she says in a soft saccharine tone although her mild condescention isn't
hard to suspect. "Can we talk?"
Already getting a feeling of where this is headed, Eric grabs her wrist and
gestures for her to go someplace private.
"Let's go somewhere private baby," he suggests, already attempting to leave the
spa. "I don't want to discuss my personal business in public.
But Jenny already has a tight grip around his wrist preventing him from going
anywhere. "No, let's discuss it right here and right now!" She was already standing
up and the volume of her voice was high enough to garner attention from bystanders.
"What do you want to discuss with me so badly?" he argues back, which is not the
brightest idea seeing as this is their first fight and she seems pretty pissed off.
"Can-"
Before he could say another word, she interjected him, now shouting loud enough
for everyone enjoying their spa day to look over and listen to them. "Shut up, Eric!"
she yells. "I know about what happened with Jolene."
"Look," he orders, "Yes, she did come over to my house in lingerie but-"
Again with the interrupting, Jenny couldn't take it anymore.
"In lingerie?!" she asks mistified. "Look, Eric, if you wanted Jolene all the time, you
should have got with her instead of breaking my heart. But you know what, even
SHE doesn't want you. She was the one who came and told me about the kiss
between you two."
"She's lying, Jenny!" he declares on the top of his voice, obviously annoyed.
"Why would she lie?" asked a perplexed Jenny Humphrey. "I thought you and
Jolene were friends for ages and now me and her have gotten close. The poor
girl looked horrified when she came to me, in tears, and told me you were jealous
of the bond we had formed and wanted to break it up. What is with you, Eric? Are
you not content unless two women are going at it for you? Are you that self absorbed?
You're so pathetic."
Now everyone was laughing, causing Eric to be enraged. Jolene was probably in
the crowd, smirking like the evil whore she truly was, he thought to himself. Before
he could say anything more, Jenny took the remains of her facial mask at him. The
laughter grew even louder now and his ex now walked away from the scene.
"Jenny!" he called after her but before he could chase her out of there, a hand came
up and grabbed him. It was Jolene.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you," she warned as they both looked after the brooklyn
blonde.
Eric, however, was not in the mood for his friend's catty behavior. He turned to look
the witch right in her bright green eyes and literally hissed under his breath.
"You're such a fucking liar!" he yelled in her face. "Don't ever come near me or my
girlfriend again."
Before she could say anything, Eric was already out of there. This certainly wasn't
a side she'd seen of him before.
"Ex girlfriend," she muttered under her breath and soon a slight smirk grew on her
face.
Eric had followed Jenny outside and now grabbed hold of her rather frail hand.
"Jenny," he said. "Jolene was lying."
"I don't believe you," said the blonde, squirming to get out of his grip. "Why would
she ever do something like that?"
Sighing, Eric placed both his hands on Jenny's narrow shoulders. "Do you even
know who Jolene is? She's a manipulative bitch who keeps her enemies closer than
she does her friends." He pauses for a minute realizing how rude that sounded but
at this point he didn't care. Clearly, Jolene had waged war on Eric and he wasn't
going to let her have her way. "Jolene came to me one evening, the evening of our
date and attempted to seduce me but because I turned her down, I guess she's now
trying to manipulate you in order to try and break us up. That girl has loved me since
forever but I don't love her anymore, I love you Jenny."
Wow, that was the first time Eric had ever said that, which although they were in the
midst of a fight, made Jenny smile.
"I love you too," she said, not wanting to ruin the moment. "I guess Jolene is a little
backstabbing liar after all."
Laughing to himself, because he'd just won, Eric put an arm over Jenny and began
to walk away from the fiasco they just created.
"Remember how rude she was to you when we were younger?" he asks and Jenny
nods with a soft chuckle. But all their lauhgs are put to an end when the upper east
side's dead man walking.. err.. walks towards them.
"Nate!" Jenny chirps and then runs towards him throwing her arms around his body.
"You're okay."
"Err." Nate seems to be a bit startled by this but slowly pets Jenny on the head as Eric
gives him the dirtiest look possible. "Hi guys."
"Hi, Nate," Eric says before pulling jenny in closer. "We're together now. We out
on a nice date, when you were you know.. asleep," he mentioned casually and to take
it a step further, pulled Jenny in for a kiss whilst looking at Nate.
Nate just stood back with a perplexed look on his face before he made some excuse
about needing to go meet someone therefore cutting their conversation short.
"See you later, Nate!" called Jenny as the cute blonde then walked away into the sun,
hands interlaced.
