Just to proclaim my innocence. My wife went grocery shopping at noon, normally a hour or two trip. At 5:00 pm I started to worry whether she was going to make it back in time. I called her at 5:20 and she was still shopping. I asked her if she forgot the meet tonight and she goes "oh my god, Were leaving right now". She got home at 6:00. where I was waiting with car running. the meet was at 6:00. I'm truely sorry for being late.

 Now to the meet................. It was great meeting Your Highness "Queen Sue".  I found Sue to be very Intelligent, Entertaining and Witty. what a bright star in the sky for England. I'm only sorry that we didn't get much time to visit, the night seemed so short. Robyn did organize some pictures to which we  were posed for. I don't know what was going on behind Rick and I, but I'm sure it wasn't nice. That's ok though " I got even".

 I found Rick to be a very nice gentleman and he and I had some nice conversations.

 I didn't get to chat with Bob or Candy much and Robyn was as you see sat way far away from me, so the only way I could chat with her was to yell. All in All the meet was a huge success considering there was only 7 of us. My digital camera is on the fritz so all my pictures were taken the old fashion way .... with a film camera!! I will try to get them to you as soon as I can.

  While we were there, there was a Black Man who I started to talk to and found out that he played with the N.Y. Yankees in 1970 - 1973. I got his autograph.

 Sue ..... I was truely honored to meet you and so glad that you could come to America and enjoy some of our attractions. Niagara Falls is very impressive and Kinzu Dam is beautiful.  Lake Erie was pretty rough because of the Minnasota weather that Robyn brought with her. but normally the Sunset on Lake Erie is a view that the world should get to see. I hope You enjoyed Yourself and have a nice flight back home.

 

 

 

I just wanted to add that, My wife wasn't so sure that she wanted to go to the meet but, Once she met everyone (especially Sue and Candy) she felt very comfortable and enjoyed the meet as much as I did. So Candy Your in the clear now. I knew all it would take is meeting you and she would like you. After all You are a very wonderful person.

I'm glad to hear that Bob...thank you for the compliment. I like her too. She seems so very nice and sweet..even tempered..I hope to see here again sometime when I'm in Ripley. 

Hi all - just to let you know that we are back in Minnesota. 

 

I enjoyed the meet immensely and it was great fun and so good to be able to talk in person to Bob and Rick - Candy and I had gotten to know each other well over our trip to Niagara Falls - hell we almost drowned together!!  Bob it was a great pleasure to meet Janet  and she willingly joined in the fun with the tiaras.

 

Candy you were terrific company and a great hostess - so thanks a million for your hospitality - the great omelette and the day at the dam and in the forest.  It was awesome - Amanda and her friend Shannon were terrific company and I thoroughly enjoyed trekking and clambering and just having my breath taken away by the scenery. 

 

I can't find sufficient words to write here about Robyn and Bob but I will and soon. 

 

For now I am off - time to eat.
