Has anyone from Conf. 1 taken this? I just need to confirm what is going on - seems most of my cluster mates are flying into O'Hare & wanted to know if this is a big hassle or not. It probably wouldn't bug me, I'm travelling light & I'm going into Midway anyway. They saw a bunch of transfers on the cta trip planner & most decided it was too much hassle (wimps, lol) but a couple may try it anyway. We are leaving tomorrow, so if anyone can update me on what's up with the construction I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

Kim

Probably too late now, but back in March, they just loaded us on a bus and drove to the next el station and loaded us back on the train. Really painless but did add a little time to the trip, but not too much. Not sure if there is more now than back then or not.....

They are currently working on the "Blue Line".

Substitute service between O’Hare and Rosemont
3 a.m., Tue., July 8 to 3 a.m., Mon., July 28, 2008

Bus shuttle service will replace rail service between the O’Hare Bus/Shuttle Center (located directly above the O’Hare CTA station) and Rosemont station from July 8 to July 28.

At O’Hare customers will board and alight buses at the O’Hare Bus Shuttle Center located in the airport’s lower level near the flight Arrivals area (O’Hare terminals 1, 2 and 3). The bus shuttle trip between Rosemont station and O’Hare takes approximately 10 minutes. CTA personnel will be available at both locations to direct customers to awaiting buses.

At Rosemont, you can board the Blue Line, and continue your ride in to the City.
