Hello everyone.  I just scheduled a show for mid May, this is a  neighbor of mine who has parties all of the time, not Home Parties, she entertains.  One of the reasons she is having this party is to show off her house.  Pampered Chef wise, she wants some new cookware.

Anyway, please send me all of your best ideas for a wine and cheese party.  We are talking elegant, not cheesey!  Those were her words, she doesn't even want PC invitations.  She said she would make up her own!!

Help!!!
Virginia

have guests bring their favorite wine

have the host pick up various chesses and show off our different entertaining ideas.

Cut some with each cheese knife, crinkle cutter and cube some.

Does she want her friends to buy Pampered Chef items?

There's a baked brie recipe that was a past Celebrations show.  That would be good.

You could also make beer bread and do different oils with the Dipping Set.

Use all simple additions items that you can get your hands on. Use the new stainless stands. Use the large bowl upside down with the large platter on top right side up, then the medium bowl upside down in the middle of it with medium square right side up, repeat with the small bowl and square to make a large 3 tier stand. You can use another small bowl on the the very top (on top of small right side up square) to hold a dip or a pillar candle.
The savory cheese truffles are very good. I liked the smoky bacon alternative and I bought the bag of real bacon crumbles instead of cooking the bacon up myself. Use the small scoop to make dainty balls for a wine tasting.
Do one of the foccacia recipes, or one of the "finer" Italian recipes. I would do mostly finger foods. Make most ahead of time and just do the garnishes and such at the show.
I wouldn't do the wine - let her handle that - it puts more liability on her. I am always a little nervous at the shows with any form of alcohol.
You could have her buy several kinds of fancy cheeses, crackers, or french baguettes and display them on the bamboo carving board with the cheese knife and such. Fruit would be a good thing to have too.
Hope this helps some. I would focus on simple additions, cookware, and entertaining items for that show. If she is wanting elegant chances are that is what her friends want too.

I would suggest finding a local Wine at Home rep and working together. I do these parties all the time and I am very sucessful at it. Wine at Home is a party plan but they do wine tastings they also have recipes that go along with the wine. you could make those and do a full on wine tasting. If you need help let me know.

DEFINITELY showcase the Simple Additions!

Why not also make some of the garnishes that are in the new recipes, and old favorites like the strawberry fan.

Good luck, and let us know how it goes!

This is a Pampered Chef show, yes, people have to buy.  She was funny, she said I will make them buy.  I'm telling you, she has lots of friends.  She said she doesn't want them there if they are not going to buy.  I'm like, ok!!

I have lots of Simple Additions.  In fact, I have extras on the old black holders, I should offer those up as give aways.

Wine at Home?  Does this mean I am competing for business?  I'm not interested in sharing the show with someone.

I would definitely do the Apricot Almond Brie ( I think that is the name) out of the new Stoneware cookbook.  Everyone that I have done this for is super impressed with how easy it is and you can show stoneware and the woven selections.  I use the small round stone and put it on the round woven selection with small bowls full of fruit and lay crackers around the stone!  Good luck!

Use the Trifle bowl as a centerpiece or to chill the wine
