Dragon Energies

Labyrinths, mazes, winding tunnels and the like, are all symbols of dragon energies. Many of you, who are already adept magick users, are already familiar with the idea of ley lines. However, if you are not, this is for you.

Ley lines are lines of the earth's gravitational and magnetic energies which travel throughout the world, beneath the ground, and are both visibly and psychically "seen."

Fairy mounds are believed to have been the culmination of these energies, brought to head by the physical placement of the fairy ring, and then harvested through the use of a mound. Such are the ways of magickal beings.

Labyrinths and mazes are often used to direct these energies from their natural flow into a designated area. Stonehenge is highly believed, and highly likely, such a place. The laying of the great pyramids of the earth, to apex directly at the Bermuda Triangle, is another, yet on an oh-so-much larger scale. There are many such places, and you can create the same magickal place in your own world.

I have chosen the circle of stones, open on both ends, coiling into the center, which I have left at 9' in diameter, to honor the goddess. You can use hedgework, herbs, bricks, anything which is magickal and appropriate to YOU. Again, there is not set in stone way of conducting
your magick. It must be right, only for YOU.

Finding the ley lines is the hard part, for you must open yourself entirely to the land upon which you are working. If there is anything unpleasant there, you will be open to it, and succeptible to it, if you are not prepared. So be prepared. If unpleasantness IS found, clear it, clean it, and fumugate it properly before trying again. Wait the afforded 3 days' time and then look again.

There are many methods for finding the ley lines which spider web our world. One very popular method is the divining rod. There is the pendulum. And another is the use of the open hand and closed eyes. While these are equally successful, again, you must use whatever means feels right to YOU.

Once these energies have been located, you will want to create your Magickal Circle close by. You will begin the spiral along side the ley line you have found, and encircle the energies to the center of your work space; much like creating a ford off the side of a small stream to irrigate your garden. In the center of your work space will be your altar. This should be of a natural constitution only, as anything synthetic will detract from your power and your work. Wood, stone, even the bare ground is fine. Upon your altar, you should have your tools. I keep mine beneath the altar, inside a wooden cabinet built in for just this purpose.

pictures of dragons; dragons, dragons, dragons!
In Dragon Magicks, you must also have a robe. Too many negative vibrations cling to your clothing; besides, you want your subconscious mind to get the message that the ordinary is
being laid aside. A simple black or white robe is adequate. The robe should be loose, comfortable and decorated with dragons, dragon script, atrological symbols,
braids and beads, anything that appeals to you and you feel will appeal to your dragon.A gold and silver cord should be tied around your waist. If you cannot find a cord containing both colors, choose silver for female, or gold for male.
Dragon jewelry should be donned.
Make a dragon headband, wear dragon jewelry whenever working with them.

The area must be swept, cleansed and fumugated, as with all magickal areas. This will not clear out the dragon energies from the ley lines, but rather allow them to flow into the area more freely and openly, thereby enhancing their power...and yours. When you have completed these tasks and meditated for a small while, you will be ready to begin to call your dragon. (God/Goddess invocation is not necessary when performing dragon magick, unless you are merely using the dragon's energies to perform your rite.)

A dragon will not tell you his name unless he deeply trusts you.
