Important note: While EFT has produced remarkable clinical results, it must still be considered to be in the experimental stage and thus the practitioner and the public must take complete responsibility for their use of it. Further, Dinah Jackson is not a licensed health professional and offers EFT as an ordained minister, and counselor.

...Often works where nothing else will.
...Usually rapid, long lasting and gentle.
...No drugs or equipment involved.

Case History:

Case # 001 Addiction

K. is a 54 year old Hepatitis C patient with a 35 year smoking habit. When she applied for a liver transplant the Drs told her she had to quit smoking. She had tried for months to reduce her habit to extiction without success. Advised against the use of gums, patches or alternative methods, she came to me. After one round of tapping her craving was gone. Later applications of Reiki with another therapist reinforced her resolve to quit smoking.

Follow up

Six months later K.'s hep-C has stabilized somewhat and is feeling better. She is still smoke free.

Case #002 Low Self-esteem

D. is a man in his thirties who wanted to have a meaningful long term relationship with someone, but had not been able to find anyone. A successful writer, witty, and handsome, though modest, he could not understand why love had not found him or vice versa and was suffering from very low self esteem. We tapped on his insecurity and after one round his feelings of worthlessness went from a 9 to a 2-3 on the SUDS scale.

Intermittent tapping on similar issues over that course of a year such as feeling inferior, feeling overlooked at work, feeling inadequate, were all resolved usually with few rounds of tapping.

Follow up:

One year later, D. has won awards for his writing, has the confidence to participate in major promotional advertising and begun seeing someone special.

Case #003

Case #004

Case #005 Grief

Shortly after breaking the news to my 18 year old son and 13 year old daughter that their good friend, 11 year old Tyler had been killed in a traffic accident I applied EFT to them and myself. My husband declined treatment. Tyler's death was a particularly hard blow to my son. He and Tyler were very close, more like brothers than friends. Tyler had been spending a generous amount of time at our home helping my son who is an amputee train and show his FFA goat at the Yuma County Fair 2 weeks before the accident. My Son Charles had an exaggerated feeling of guilt for not spending the day with Tyler the day he was killed. We tapped on it and Charles was able to go to school and function almost normally. We Tapped again before and after Tyler's funeral and Charles was able to go to the boys parents and offer condolences and comfort to them. My daughter Velma had also 'adopted' Tyler as a little brother and was in shock when I first administered the EFT treatment to her. She declined treatment before the funeral, but accepted afterwards.

I myself was stunned for hours after hearing the news and after my initial tapping I was amazed that while still definitely deeply effected by Tyler’s loss, I was able to calmly and rationally break the news to my children and walk them thru their reactions and administer EFT for their own relief. EFT enabled us to be a support system for Tyler's family in a caring non-hysterical and non-dramatic fashion.

Follow up:

Charles' goat had won first place at the fair and he had promised Tyler his share of the winnings from the auction of the animal which came to $350.00. The prize money arrived 2 months after Tyler’s death. Charles asked for an EFT treatment and was able to give Tyler's share to his family without breaking down and continued to be a comforting influence.

Velma still has problems with guilt for not passing a phone message from Tyler the morning of the day he died to Charles. She felt that if she had, then Tyler would have been at our house instead of on the road.

She has tapped on it herself and she says she is ok.

I myself still miss Tyler. and sometimes I get misty, but mostly I remember the positive and funny things he did in a way that leaves me with a warm feeling instead of an agonizing void.

My husband hasn't fared so well I fear. Stewart has always been a very closed and private person and has refused every offer of EFT treatment. The Yuma County Fair rolled around again last week. Stewart never said anything until the morning after the last day of the Fair. He had gone to the Fair alone Sunday night, in a foul and nasty mood. He didn't get home till long after everyone had gone to bed.

The next morning he said he spent last night walking the midway 'with' Tyler. He said he just walked around and around remembering all the rides he took him on as a reward for being such a help to Charles.

Case # 006 Depression

Karen is a social worker in charge of a center specializing in relaxation techniques for severly handicapped individuals.

She was suffering from deep sadness at the news of a friend's death and as the weeks went by she was unable to roust herself out of it. Her sadness had seemed to trigger memories of a host of events for which she'd not dealt with the emotions caused by them.

Everything seemed to be coming down on her at once and it was affecting her performance at work. She would break into tears at the slightest occurance. Her irrational behavior had been noticed by the staff and her supervisor advised her to get help.

She came to me and asked for help with EFT. After an introductory interview where she was able to tell me her story we tapped on her general feeling of sadness and with subsequent tapping able to focus in on two major causes, or trunks that leafed out into easily tappable issues.

Being widowed and having no children, and now her peers dying, she was overcome with lonliness and abandonment issues. We tapped on these and the intensity of her feelings went from a 10 to a 4. We also tapped on the death of one of her pet cats. This issue she had a small reduction in I feel because it was something she had dealt with previously knowing the cat was sick and had decided to put it down. An hour later she was ready to focus on her job and her co-workers were thrilled to see her smile for the first time in weeks.

Follow up:

A week later Karen's sadness hadn't returned to it's previous intensity, and she had continued to tap at home as homework whenever a depressing issue came up, such as looking at photographs.of her deceased friend. She was doing much better at work but had some anxiety about the holidays coming up and the usual "Holiday Blues" We tapped on her fear and anxiety and she went on vacation to have Christmas with her niece. Upon her return she said she had never had such a stress free holiday, thanks to EFT, and was anxious to get back to work. I told her THAT kind of anxiety doesn't need tapping! She agreed (smile).

Case # 008 Post operative Breast cancer treatment pain

Maria lives in a small town in central Mexico. Her husband, Bladi, is one of my husband's protoge's.

She is in her mid twenties and was diagnosed with breast cancer. After a lumpectomy she was put on chemo and radiation therapy and was suffering all the usual discomfort. Bladi called my husband asking for help paying for her pain medications. Stewart said he would, but to try EFT, that it might help Maria. So I had the Basic Recipe and the 9 Gamut Procedure translated into Spanish and drew up some illustrations, added them to the instructions and e-mailed them to Bladi.

Follow up:

A week later Bladi called to tell Stewart that the EFT worked so well, he didn't need the money for the pain medication , that Maria was doing very well.

6 months later, So far Maria's cancer has remained in remission and she has no pain.

Case # 009 Leg pain

Ramundo was having excruciating pain in his leg. unable to do his farm work and tried to walk it off without success. Resolved to loose a day's pay he could not afford, he told my husband he had to go home. My husband referred him to me and came and told me to do my "heebee jeebee thing" on him. He calls EFT that because the results seem to be magic.

Ramundo spoke very little English and I spoke very little Spanish. I had translated the Basic Recipe Tapping Procedure into Spanish, but that was of no use because Ramundo could not read.

So I went down to where he was under a tree trying to walk off the pain and in obvious anguish. At first he didn't want to try, but I convinced him to by assuring him I wouldn't touch him unless he gave his permission and showed him what EFT entailed. He mimicked my tapping and we managed to find a rudimentary affirmation to say in Spanish. After one round he was amazed how much better his leg felt, and after one more round of tapping the pain was gone and didn't return the rest of the day.

Follow up:

One month after Ramundo's treatment for his leg he came to the house carrying a very large watermelon as a gift, thanking me for helping him rid himself of his leg pain. He told us he had had no more problems with it since that day and was very happy.

Case # 010 Migraine Headaches

Dinah is a 49 year old female with a history of migraines. She woke to a blinding migraine accompanied by nausea, dizziness, disorientation, breaking out in sweats, light and audio sensitivity which were extreme.

Attempts to take some Ibuprofen are unsuccessful due to subsequent vomiting and each heave cranking up the pressure on her head till she nearly passed out.

Use of EFT on other headaches and even a migraine, were successful. Feeling as if brain were going Rigor, she tapped on it. With that level of disorientation and pain, it probably took all of 2 minutes to do half of a round. Doing the 9 Gamut procedure was very difficult but she made it thru and noticed an immediate decrease in the intensity from a very strong 10 to perhaps a 7. She repeated the procedure more competently now with less pain. As she finish the round she experienced what she claimed was "...the oddest sensation. As if my brain had scabbed over and now was shedding the old dead cells, like cheese melting off my head. This headache dissolving felt material and tangible, literally sliding off the top of my head down over my ears and down my neck. The headache was completely gone! I looked at the clock and this entire experience had only lasted 5 minutes. I couldn't believe it!"

Follow up:

The migraine never returned and Dinah hasn't suffered any migraines in the past 6 months. Minor headaches were tapped on and resolved.

Case # 011 Tension Headache

Sharon who was under a lot of pressure at work complicated by family stress was suffering from extreme tension headaches that weren't affected by the pain relievers she had been taking. I was doing a follow up on another client in her office and my client told her how EFT was working with her, did she want to try it on her headache. Although she was skeptical she was willing to try anything. After one round the headache that had plagued her for 2 days was gone.

Follow up:

One week later I popped in and checked on Sharon while I was in the neighborhood and asked how things were going, she said things were still tense, but at least her headache hadn't returned .

Case # 012 Tendonitis

Rosita is a 45 year old cleaning lady who was suffering from pain in her shoulder and elbow that was limiting her ability to work. After two rounds of EFT her SUDS reading went from a 8 to a 1, and had approximately 85% percent improvement on her range of motion without pain.

No Followup.

Case # 013 Panic Attack

Bette is a 70+ year old woman with a history of panic/anxiety syndrome. She had come from out of state to visit her daughter for the first time in her daughter's new home. The new environment triggered a panic attack. fear of waking up in the middle of the night not knowing where she was, fear of not being able to find the bathroom in time, fear of being alone in a strange bed , in a strange room, all had Bette grabbing her purse and irrationally demanding to be driven back home (a 12 hour drive) at 2am in her pajamas. I came and we tapped on the various aspects of her fears and after 5 rounds one each focusing on a different aspect Bette became calm and could go back to her room. Being in the room raised her anxiety level, so we tapped on that, and then getting in the bed, tapped on that. Then she became anxious about finding the bathroom, so we did a 'practice run' so she would be able to find it easily and tapped on her insecurity. When she re-entered the bedroom she commented that she did not feel the discomfort she had before we tapped on going back into the room before the bathroom drill. She also noticed that when she got back into the bed that she was much more relaxed but still nervous about being all alone. Her concerns were that if she died in the middle of the night, no one would be able to hear her call for help. We tapped on her fear of abandonment issue and isolation issue. Her SUDS reading went from a 10+ at the initial beginning of tapping to a 1 before she agreed to go to sleep. Her breathing had normalized and she was noticably calmer and more rational. The next morning she said she had the best night's sleep she'd had in months.

Follow up: The remainder of Bette's visit continued to be panic attack free. On a visit later in the year, Bette did not re-experience any of the same anxiety she did before.

Case # 014 Plantar Facsitis

D. has had excruciating pain in her right foot from plantar fascitis for over seven years. Limited mobility , pain, and numbness up the outside of her right leg from heel to hip had kept her house bound for the most part. Spasms of white hot shooting pain in her foot and up her leg made her leery of her ability to drive safely.

After one week of tapping daily in addition to whenever the spasms occured brought her SUDS level down from a 10 to a 3.

Follow up:

After one month incidents in need of tapping for the pain have decreased and she can now stay up and on her feet walking long enough to go to the grocery store and do some shopping.

One year later D. only taps occasionally for foot pain. She is able to walk and stand for up to 3-4 hours

without discomfort. The affected area remains numb though.

We are exploring other aspects of frustration, depression, food addiction, feelings of inadequacy and back pain.

Case # 015 Weight control

Craig came on a referral to find help to loose weight. He was 18 years old, and had put on 25 pounds in the past few months. We talked for a while, and I discovered he had recently just graduated highschool, gotten a new job, his girlfriend was pregnant, and his car had just died. He was having trouble getting to work, was in danger of losing his new job. His girlfriend was freaking out and his future mother-in-law was giving him the eyebrow. After I showed him a verbal mirror image of himself and his life he could see how high his stress levels had become and that his anesthetic of choice happened to be food. We tapped on his resentment of the burden of responsibility, on his regrets of having to grow up so fast, on his anxiety about his future, on his need to anesthetize himself , on his anger of criticism, on his frustration at self sabotage.

Case # 016 Phantom pain

Charles is a 19 yr old who at age 16 had to have a total hip disarticulation on his left leg. Phantom pains had plagued him since he became conscious in the hospital. Attempts to focus on averting the electric impulses sent to his severed nerves anywhere else where not very successful. Medication, such as Neurotin helped at first , but didn't later on. Ibuprofen helped some, but not much. He doesn't think emotional issues trigger them because they come up during a variety of circumstances out of the blue. He was open to trying EFT. After one round of tapping during one such phantom pain he was able to divert the nerve impulses for an hour or two and made it go away. Subsequent phantom pains responded to EFT as well.

Follow up:

Six months later, the frequency of phantom pain instances has decreased and Charles continues to tap on them as needed.

Case # 017 Chronic headaches

Tina was a 39 year old pharmacy technician, mother of two boys with a troubled marriage, and deep depression and despair over being the sole survivor of her immediate family since her mother's death. Her brother had committed suicide years before and her father had died in her early twenties. She was suffering from constant headaches and tension accompanied by soreness in her neck, back and shoulders.

We tapped on the headache she was experiencing over the phone with marked results of her pain going from an 8 to a 3. Another round of tapping took it from a 3 to a 1 and she was happy with that.

She began to unfold her history and her brother's suicide. We tapped on her guilt of not being able to help him more. We also tapped on her survivors guilt. We tapped on her fear of having a congenital mental illness. As she talked about her dad and his problems with depression, the stress she was feeling in her relationship with her husband and their financial situation, and personal problems. We talked about her dad issues and her lack of self esteem regarding making requests for what she needed from her husband.

We tapped on all these things whenever the subject matter brought her to a high level of intense emotional distress. every round of tapping brought her back to am more calm and rational frame of mind and she was able to continue relating her experiences. After an hour or so she was surprised at how much ground she had been able to cover and sort thru with relatively little emotional upset. She told me she had never been able to talk with anyone about any of these things before, because she would get so upset her throat would choke up and she would cry like a baby and be literally unable to speak.

I asked her how her head ache was doing and she told me it was gone, completely.

Case # 018 Headache and fear of blinding headache

T.J. is a 10 year old boy who suffers from a rare form of migraine that tends to render him temporarily blind.

One day while his mother and I were visiting, he came in and told her he had a bad headache and asked for some asprin or ibuprofen or something. I asked him and his mother if it would be alright to try EFT on it. They agreed and after one round of tapping on the headache , T.J. said the headache was gone but he was still afraid it might come back. I had him lie down for a while in a quiet room and said we'd see what happened and not to worry, that if it did we could tap on it again or he could take some headache pills if he wanted to. After about a half hour he said the headache had not returned and he felt much better, so he went back to playing with my kids. He stayed headache free the rest of the day.

Case # 019 Grief

Tina, (see case #017) was suffering a disproportional amount of grief three years after her mother's death. She seemed 'stuck' in the grieving process at it's initial stages. This left her with feelings of extreme loss, and sadness long after the event, and her preoccupation with it was effecting her personal and proffesional life.

She was overly sensitive to elderly women in the pharmacy where she worked and reacted to them by either breaking out in tears or biting their heads off, and she could not understand why she would do that.

I asked her if she had ever been angry at her mother for "leaving her behind" them being the last two survivors of her family. She said she didn't think so, that she loved her mom deeply and missed her beyond measuring. She wanted to be like her mom, handling everything calmly and rationaly, but felt like she was failing herself and her mom.

We tapped on her feelings of loss and sorrow, and her SUDS rate didn't go down more than one or two points. We tapped on being overwhelmingly sad, and then on feeling left behind, then feeling lost and alone. Her SUDS went down another one or two points . So she started at a 10 and now was about a 6.5.

we re-enacted a situation of an elderly woman and her 30+ yr old daughter coming in the pharmacy...Tina reacted with feelings of jealousy and anger and her SUDS shot back up to a 10+. We tapped on her jealosy of the imaginary 30+ year old woman still having her mom. The I tapped on her about her anger because her mom wasn't there with her. Tina broke thru the taboo she had set up for herself of being angry about her mom dying. We talked about anger being a natural part of the grieving process, We also tapped on her anger for her brother committing suicide and her dad dying before he could see his grandsons. Her SUDS reading dropped from a 10+ to a 2.

We talked about her present family (husband and kids), and her fear of abandonment. We tapped on her fear of being alone, fear of incompetence, fear of failure, and her fear that if she were depressed enough to be labeled 'mentally ill' and commit suicide, that she would be abandoning her sons the same way her dad and brother had 'abandoned' her. It dawned on her that if such a thing would occur that her death was not an intentional abandonment and could see that the members of her family's deaths were not either. Being able to let go of that long held belief that her family abandoned her and tapping on the anger issue brought her SUDS count to a zero.

Case # 020 General anxiety

Carli was a 39 year old woman pregnant with her 6th child. She was having some heart arythmia and experiencing a state where her emotions were constantly too intense. She was extremely photoreactive and having a re-occurrence of temporal lobe epilepsy resulting in petite mal seizures. She was filled with trepidation for both the birth process and the safety and health of the baby. Her nervousness effected her ability to digest food and was living on a diet of goat milk to prevent colon spasms. During her 8th month of pregnancy she asked me go with her to the obstetricians office because her husband couldn't go with her. While we were waiting in the Dr.'s exam room her anxiety levels were very high. I suggested using EFT. At first she thought the whole thing was a little weird, but was willing to try, because she knew me personally as a friend, didn't want to hurt my feelings (although I didn't know this at the time) and trusted me. I showed her the procedure and although she was skeptical she tried it and was shocked that something really did happen. Before the Dr. came in to she her, we tapped on her for anxiety and shortness of breath. She felt a loosening up in her chest and she also had a flash back of an experience when she was a young child that cause the same kind of angst, and that tapping NOW erased whatever message that was on her wall that gave her body the instructions to react in that particular manner.

Follow up :

9 months later Carli informs me that while she has been nervous and anxious about other things she has not experienced that same "elephant on the chest" feeling accompanying her nervousness.

Case # 021 Pain from inoperable brain tumor, and emotional constipation

I was requested by the patient's daughter to come and see if EFT could help her mom. That mom was in alot of pain, and was unsure if she would survive the day. Veronica asked me to go to her mom's home because she was home bound. I agreed.

When I arrived the mother wasn't home, but several of the adult children were, all fighting and yelling at each other for reasons I couldn't make out, When the fists started flying I stayed outside with the little kids in case the police showed up, there would be someone left to watch the kids... me! After about 30 minutes some of the agitants left and things settled down and the mother, Joann, returned from her Dr visit.

Joann is a 54 year old woman diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor which is causing her pain in the form of migraine headaches. She has also been told by her Dr that she has an aneurism in her brain and has given her a day to day prognosis.

When I first met Joann, her family was in turmoil adding to her stress and anxiety regarding impeding demise and concern of what would the family do to each other when she was no longer there to keep the peace.

Her migraine had become a daily event and no one was sure she would survive another day. She says it was like vultures hovering. Privately I thought, "More like rabid jackals". But I kept that to myself.

First thing we tapped on was her migraine. She was over due on her pain medication and it was an optimum time to assess her SUDS . She set it at a 100. I told her 10 was sufficient, smiling. We tapped on it and her SUDS level dropped to a 7. She wanted to know if the EFT could help with her anxiety due to her medical condition. I told her it could and we would try it on what ever issue came up. We tapped n a variety of issues with different measured levels of success.

We tapped on her fear of her family's future without her,

her inability to express her feelings toward her children due to how she was raised and her own history of abuse

her feelings of anger toward her abusive mother

her feelings of loss regarding a baby she'd lost

Her anger toward her mother for taking the baby

her frustration from older family members interference with her children

her feelings of helplessness

All of these issues SUDS levels dropped from 10's to 3-4's

We tapped again on her headache that she said remained at a level 7 and it dropped to a 3

Her children, (mostly adults) joined us by that time and were impressed at the improvement in their mothers appearance.

We talked about her wishes to have them know how much she loved them before she was gone and all sorts of issues came up.

We tapped on several independent scenarios, such as the return of her son after drug related incidents and clarified some misunderstandings. The group of children watched as Joann tapped on the remainder of her headache and we group tapped on breaking down barriers that prevented expression of emotion.

After 6 hours with Joann and her family at their home, and up to 4 times tapping on each issue, she said her SUD levels for

anxiety had dropped from a 10 to a 1

headache from a 10 to a 0

anger from a 10 to a 1

loss from a 10 to a 1

frustration from a 8 to a 0

and her feelings of helplessness from a 10 to a 0

As for her inability for her to express her feelings to her kids....

By the time I left, they were all hugging and telling each other how they loved each other, and each of them were not only telling each other, they were accepting it from each other.

Update:

Two and a half months after my session with Joann and her family I popped in to see how she was doing. There was a dramatic difference in the atmosphere of the home. The son recovering from drug additction had gotten a job and a promotion and put on weight. The son who was angry, glowering, and overweight, was smiling, working, has a new girlfriend, he'd lost at least 20 pounds and was getting along with the other siblings. The daughter was smiling, and best of all Joann looked much better. She was still alive and dealing with her situation much better. She said she went in for an MRI shortly after our session and the MRI showed the tumor hadn't grown, but it didn't find the aneurysm. She is going to have another one soon to be sure. She felt much better about being able to tell her kids she loves them and does so on a daily basis now. Her stress levels vary but seldom go over a 4 and she has continued to tap on things as they arise with continued success.

Case # 022 Anxiety over impending surgery and back pain from Spinal Stenosis

Bette is a 76 year old woman from Albuquerque, diagnosed with Spinal Stenosis. A debilitating and progressive condition that puts pressure on her spinal cord and caused a great deal of back pain and pain down her legs.

After 8 months of tapping on the back pain with little or no success she decided to have the back surgery she had been avoiding. Her anxiety levels regarding the surgery went thru the roof.

We tapped on her fear of "going under the knife" , of not coming out of anesthesia, and her fear of the surgery either not working or making her pain worse, and the dread of that possibility.

After tapping on each of those 5 issues a couple times, she said she felt much better and not anxious at all.

The morning of her surgery she was amazed at how calm she was and wasn't having a panic attack that she expected she would have at the last minute.

Post surgery

Bette came out of the surgery well.

She didn't like all the instructions about the kinds of post operative things she was going to have to do to recover, such as exercising and walking. We tapped on her frustration that she couldn't just roll off the Gurney with a 20 year old's back.

Update

Two weeks after Bette's surgery she is experiencing less pain , but not as "less" as she wanted. We tapped again on her frustration.

Bette has had difficulty tapping on herself due to inability to orientate herself to where to tap. Familial (Essential) Tremors in her hands contribute to the frustration. We tapped on that as well.

Bette's recovery from surgery continues to be slow. She says the pain in her back is not that much different from before the surgery and is fearing it will never improve.

Her lack of cooperation regarding Dr's orders to walk and do stretching exercises hinders her recovery and exacerbates her frustration.

Six weeks after surgery, Bette is tapping periodically with me guiding her over the phone now since I returned to California.

She says her ability to assess a SUDS level is unreliable, that she can't be objective.

Her ability to focus and concentrate on an issue being tapped on is compromised by her thinking about what to tap on next.

Case #23 Post surgical pain

B., a middle aged dance teacher with post surgical pain. B. called me this morning about a week after she had had a hip replacement surgery. Over the weekend she had had horrible pain and went to the ER with a fever, dizziness and too much pain to walk. The Dr.'s had put her on antibiotics and given her Demerol for the pain. Now that the pain meds have worn off, she sought me out to help. We did one round of EFT over the phone and she said her pain level had gone from a 5 to a 2 or less.

Case#23 Grief and stress

M.‘s mother in law passed away and having had previous experience with me using EFT for a headache, she decided to use EFT for the stress of this situation. She then sent me this e-mail:

"Thank you so much for showing me the basics of EFT. I have been dealing with a family death and the stress of family sorrow and have found myself headachy and completely drained of energy.

I thought of you and the EFT that you counciled me to use in times of stress so I started tapping...it really helped!!

And it continues to help as I venture through today....Thank you , so much , for guiding me and teaching me such a wonderful way to deal with pain...of all kinds. "

Case#24 Lingering pain from injury

John, a 22 year old veteran has continued pain from an injury received in Iraq. Shrapnel lodged in his knee from an explosion has not been removed because the doctors have been unable to remove it. Although he can walk on it, he often has to use a cane to get around. He was very skeptical as to any effectiveness because of the remaining shrapnel. But agreed to try EFT. He said after one round it "felt weird" like a foot that’s been asleep and starting to wake up, like pin pricks and didn’t want to go another round. He was a little freaked out.

The next night, he came over and told me he wasn’t sure about the EFT, but he had to admit, he hadn’t had to use his cane all day.

Case # 25 asthma attack from exertion and stress
I was on a layover in the Chicago airport checking the flight schedules on the monitor whe a young woman approximately 25 years old came running up to check the monitors also, and collapsed on the floor having difficulty breathing.
She was coherent, but in distress, thinking she was going to miss her connecting flight.
Running through the concourse carrying heavy bags didn't help.

She began rummaging through her knapsack and started crying saying she couldn't find her inhaler. I knelt down to ask if she needed emergency help, and she began to cry again, shaking her head  "no". She was literally curled up in a ball on the floor if the airport.

I told her my companion and I were Healers and that I could probably help her with EFT, and she agreed to try it.

So I sat on the floor with her and together we tapped on her anxiety about nearly missing her flight, and her difficulty in catching her breath, on her frustration for not being able to find her inhaler. Within minutes she had uncurled and was sitting up stright and breathing deeply. She was amazed and wnated to know how I did that, so I gave her the www.emofree.com web address so she could learn more about it on her own.
I never asked or learned her name, or saw her again, but I hope EFT helped her get through her journey.

Case# 26
Continuing on our journey, my companions and I stopped at a motel in Columbus Ohio where the desk clerk had a pronounced limpand was in a great deal of pain since he had just twisted his knee running down some stairs. I told him I could help him with it and as soon aas other customers were gone, I told him about EFT and how to do it. He agreed to let me help him. His assessed SUDS level was a 9. After 2 rounds of EFT the pain in his knee was completely gone.
The next day he said the knee had stiffened up overnight and hurt again, but was only a SUDS 5, So I tapped with him and after 1 round his SUDS was 0.
He wanted to learn more about it and was very excited, I gave him the EFT web site address and wished him well as I headed home.

Case # 27 Knee Pain
I was attending a celebration honoring some Tibetan monks who had come to visit Yuma at the Dragonfly Gift Shoppe when the store owner brought a woman to me who was limping.
Mary, a nurse at the Yuma Regional Medical center, was in a lot of pain and the owner, Sandi, told her I could help.

We went in the back room and I explained to her about EFT and asked her some questions about her pain. She had been hurt as a young girl and the inury had bothered her ever since, but not to this degree, so I asked if she was unde some unusual kind of stress.
She told me several close members of her family had died recently from various causes only weeks and months apart. I said, "So you have really had 'the legs cut out from under you' emotionally?" and she said she "hadn't really thought of it that way but, yeah!"

I asked what her SUDS level was right then and she said the pain had gone down because she wasn't standing on it, but still a 5, So I explained about the affirmation process and she chose "the pain in my knee". After one round she assesed her SUDS level at a 1, and as she began to get up and move around she reassesed it to a 0.
I gave her my card so she could contact me if she wanted to be treated further for her grief.

While visiting my son in the hospital I noticed the man in the bed next to his was extremely agitated. His Dr. had ordered an MRI and he was adamately refusing to cooperate. His wife and family and friends were all trying to convice him to do it, even to the point of deriding his manhood.

Apparently he had had a serious injury and the Dr. needed to have the MRI done to formulate his prognosis.

The patient was angry and combative and irrational. The nurse came and gave him a sedative, but it had no effect, he still refused.

While taking a break in "negotiations" the family went out in the hall, I wandered out and drew one of them aside and told her about EFT. She mentioned that he was claustrophobic and that was why he was so uncooperative.

I told her how EFT assuages phobias and how it worked. She talked to the other members of her entourage and they talked to the nurse.

The nurse came to me ato ask what EFT was all about and I explained. She then went and presented the opportunity to the patient. He was skeptical.

They asked me over and I told him about Gary Craig's experience with Vietnam vets and their recovery with EFT from PTSD. He agreed to give it a try.

The family went out in the hall and the nurse stayed with me.
After interviewing with him for a while about his reasons for resisting the MRI procedure, he formulated the affirmation of "not wanting to be in closed places"
I put my hand close to his face and asked his level of discomfort, he said a "9".

So we went through the procedure and he visably "unwound" after the first round.
The nurse who had taken his vitals before we started, took them again and noticed a marked difference in his heart rate and blood pressure. I asked how he felt about being in closed places now as I put my hand close to his face and asked his level of discomfort again. He said a "1".

The nurse asked if he might be willing to do the MRI now and he said yes.
So the orderlies came in and wheeled him down to the MRI room.

After a while, the nurse returned and told me she had never seen anything like that and wanted more details, so I gave her the web address. She told me if she hadn't seen it with her own eyes she might have thought the sedation had kicked in on him, but to see such a dramatic difference in his behavior and the entire way he was holding himself, like a caged animal, and changing so dramatically  in a matter of minutes, she had to admit the EFT was responsible for his change of heart.

She also told me he did fine during the MRI procedure and didn't have any trouble at all with being in the machine.
