The Legend of the Unicorns

It all started when a young Unicorn had lost his way.
Playing in the woods one minute, when suddenly
he took a wrong turn and was completely lost.
Trembling he stood, sad and alone.

Suddenly a pixie appeared and took his horn,
"Follow me little one, I know someone
who can help".
 Frightened and uncertain he went along.

He followed the pixie for a long way,
as she led him through the green woods
past the largest trees. and there on
a beautiful rose, sat the Rose Fairy.
 

"Oh Rose Fairy, can you help me"? he asked in
a very little voice. " I'm very lost and tired."
Petting him gently, she
kindly said, "of course little one".

She floated high above the land
and saw exactly where his Mother was.
And the fairy threw her light beams
to show him the way. "There you are
my little friend, right down there
your Mother is waiting for you".

And suddenly he was with his Mother
once more...the Unicorns  were so happy and
grateful to the fairies. They  promised
to carry the fairies whenever they needed
a ride though the meadows.

As legend goes, the fairies made sure the little
Unicorn would never lose his way again.
They gave him the gift of the magic horn, that
would always light his way.

And the Unicorns kept their promise too,
and  to this day, fairies can be seen
riding on the backs of the magical Unicorns.
And a certain young Unicorn now grown
into a beautiful steed, gives the best rides of all.
