Elemental Cauldrons

Earth Cauldron
Best done outdoors
While focusing and chanting:

Layer salt, wax shavings, three powdered or ground herbs ( dependant
on your spell or ritual ), lighter fluid, and some ivy leaves in the
bottom of a cast iron cauldron.

Use a candle to light the material.

When the smoke starts to roll, place the lid on the cauldron.

Air Cauldron

With a set of tongs, put a piece of dry ice in a small glass or
ceramic bowl and place the bowl on a cloth in the bottom of the
cauldron.

Allow the cauldron to smoke as long as the ice lasts.

The mists creates excellent images for scrying.

Fire Cauldron

Cover the inside bottom with dirt or sand to dissipate heat.

Light incense charcoal and add salt peter for flame and spark.

Or flash powder for a different but spectacular effect.

To assist in releasing or firing off peak energy, try using " flash
bombs ".

Make a small pocket in a piece of flash paper, fill with flash powder
and tie with thread.

The flash bomb should be no larger than the tip of your smallest
fingernail.

Do not look directly at the flash as you drop the flash bomb into the
cauldron.

The flash can be very bright.

Water Cauldron

At least seven days before the ritual, place equal quantities of
appropiate herbs in a pint size jar.

Fill the rest of the jar with everclear (200% alcohol).

Cap tightly, and shake gently while chanting and concentrating on the
purpose of the ritual.

Let the jar rest in a dark, warm spot and shake twice daily, charging
it with your purpose.

Before the ritual, place a fireproof glass or ceramic bowl into the
cauldron.

Carefully pour in the herb mixture into the bowl.

Light with a candle to produce a beautiful blue flame.

The cauldron, as the fifth elemental, Spirit, symbolizes inspiration,
rebirth, illumination, and rejuenation.

Use a Fire cauldron with salt peter to cast a Circle.

Use the mists of an Air cauldron for an initiation.

Use the Water cauldron to burn away hate, prejudice and negative self-
images.

The Earth cauldron is ideal for indoor Beltane rites.

Always place your cauldron on a fireproof surface.

Always practice safety when using fire or open flames.
