Faggot or Fagot fag'ot   n.  1. A bundle of sticks or twigs tied as if to carry in a bundle.   2. Another name for a haggerd, shriveled old woman.

Faet Fiada -  A powerful magickal spell used by the ancient Druids to either make themselves invisible or to enable them to see others who were.  The faet fiada was also used to transform men into animals, acording to legend.

Familiar- A spirit or guardian who is close to a human being and considered a companion in magick. The spirit often manifests itself in a sacred object or a pet. This explains the misconception that all witches have black cats, which is not necessarily true though a cat is a magickal creature and often does become a familiar.

Fascination- The practice of controlling another's mind psychically. Can be considered very manipulative and by some traditions a breaking of the Rede, especially when used to frivolously control people.

Fate- The destined result of life after a sequence of fated events.

Fetch- A male witch who acts as a messenger and general assistant to a coven's High Priestess and High Priest. Also called the Summoner. 

Fey- a Welsh term for fairy-like qualities, usually of clairvoyant nature.

Fire-  One of the four ancient and alchemical elements which corresponds to the South Watchtower of th emagick circle.  The spirits of Fire are known as Salamanders.

Fire Signs-  In astrology, the three signs of the zodiac attributing to the ancient element of FIre : Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius.

Firestick-  Another name for a Witch's wand, denoting its correspondence to the element of Fire.

Five-fold Kiss- A traditional salute generally performed between the High Priest and the High Priestess.

Flame Dancing: Granny term...an exercise in Mind Control attempting to control from a distance, a candle flame; to make it burn steady & still, or 'dance'. The ultimate goal being to snuff the candle

Full Moon- Phase of the moon when it has waxed fully. Best time for spells involving psychic powers, and for magick in general.

Fundamentalist or Fundy: a politically right-wing religious conservative. They are the 'know-it-alls' of the Christian belief structure & very aggressive. Disrespectful & ignoring of others rights to freedom of religion, they disapprove even of other Christians. The Bible is IT! Literally, & no discussion about it.

Futhark- Runic alphabet used often in divination, its origins are Norse (Germanic). Divided into the elder Futhark and the younger Futhark (which has fewer runes).
