Frosted Holly Leaves
In the 1800s this craft provided decoration when fresh flowers were not available. Tucked in among mistletoe and fir boughs, frosted holly leaves are quite pretty. Choose the nice stems and leaves of the holly, and wipe them with a clean dry cloth. Dry them thoroughly but do not allow to shrivel. Dip the edges of each leave in thin clear glue, then sprinkle with course sugar. Allow to dry in a warm place. |
