| | | Not at all surprised who was eliminated last night. Simon predicted or as some people on the Idol boards think, told what would happen in eliminations on Tuesday Night. If the eliminations would have happened weekly like they normally do is it possible that who went home would be different? Melinda will definitely be in the finals but who else???? | | | I couldn't begin to guess final 2. I think (my opinion here, I know people don't like Blake) the rest are all good enough to be there. I'm not as much as a Melinda fan as the rest of you all. And again, I most likely won't buy any of their CD's, so in all reality, it doesn't matter to me who wins. LOL. And what was the deal with that dude that performed??? He has a #1 R&B song out now???? | | | I'm not as much as a Melinda fan as the rest of you all. I thought I was alone with this. I want to see her sing something that I know. It seems to me that lately the songs that she choses are ones that are not that well known. Why is she doing this? She has a great voice but I want to hear her blow me out of the water with a song that I have something to compare what she is singing to. This is what Blake has consistantly done all season. And what was the deal with that dude that performed??? That was Alan Thicke's (from Growing Pains) son. Again we agree. The song was very monotone and sung out of his nose. | | Reply

| | | Melinda and Jordin final two. I actually love the fact that Melinda is singing lesser known songs. But to be honest, when it comes to contemporary pop, I don't know most of those songs anyway (I'm lucky to know ANY "pop" music, lol). I'll read on the boards people going on about how so-and-so screwed up a song (or made it work, whatever) and I'm judging it solely based upon that single performance, since I'd never heard it before. And I prefer that, to be honest. Cuz I'm one of those who'll bitch and moan if someone fucks up a song I love, lol. That 60s week pretty much pissed me off.  Did not like the dude that sang - actually, after a couple of bars, I opened my book and read, lol. Didn't like Bon Jovi's choice either - how fucking boring! Why do such a slow, pedantic song when you can totally rock, dude?   Eh, why not? LOL, this has been THE most boring AI season to date and I can't believe I'm still watching any of it.  | | Reply

There would be something wrong if Blake made the finale. He was the best guy this year but let's be honest...he was the best guy in a season with Sanjaya. I actually think him and Chris are two of the most marketable male AI contestants ever but as far as vocal talent goes Melinda and Jordin will be robbed if they don't make it to the finale. I think Blake has a big enough fan base to make it into the top 3 and it's scary to think who he may out last. Thinking to how the top 3 week is always done I think he's gonna have a hard time out singing whoever the other two are. The judges pick and the what's his face pick usually really works for some contestants or they usually bomb for others. And I'm trying to remember the kinds of songs they usually pick and from everything I can remember this probably won't turn out too good for Blake. |

Blake may not be able to "out sing" any of the others but he is unique and can sing.... he is original......Melinda is so forgettable to me ..... the only ones i can see having a lasting career are Blake or Jordin...... |

Hey, thanks for moving this over here, Chicky!   I can't stand that Blake, lol.... (I mean, his style and voice, not "him" - he seems like a sweet kid and I love that he and Chris have become such good friends!) But I realized, I just don't give a rat's patootie anymore, lol. At least, not this season. I never picked up the phone once to vote for anyone, and this is the first season I haven't voted - not inspired to. How bad is that? |
