The ending did suck.

i just saw it last weekend. apparently it ended like the book did.

 

my husband liked it more than i did.

Could have been much better. The majority of the movie shows how ruthless the killer is as well as all of his killings and then we don't see the main character die, he is just laying there dead. We know that he killed the wife too but we don't see that either. Not that I cared to see anymore blood but why gross me out the entire movie with the brutal killings then in the last part of the movie either show me a dead body or leave me to assume he just killed the wife? I don't get why they decided to go that route...then when Tommy Lee Jones goes to the hotel and we see Javier's spooky ass nothing happens!! I was so scared then was like what? Nothing happened!! Ack! I didn't want him to die but at least almost die would have been good. LOL  And I do get the ending but it ended too abruptly... damn this movie.

I literally jumped out of my skin 2 or 3 times during this movie. 

I finally saw this movie yesterday - I totally agree with Lita's spoiler.
