Jalapeno Cornbread:
This bread machine recipe has the crunch of corn meal mixed with the bite
of jalapeno peppers. Just right for a fiesta.
Prep Time: approx. 15 Minutes. Cook Time: approx. 3 Hours . Ready in: approx. 3 Hours 15 Minutes.
Makes 1 - 1 pound loaf (10 servings).
1 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast
1/2 cup water
1 tablespoon butter
1 1/3 cups bread flour
1/2 cup cornmeal
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup whole kernel corn
1 tablespoon chopped jalapeno pepper
Directions
If your machine has a Fruit setting, add the peppers and whole kernel corn at the signal, or
about 5 minutes before the kneading cycle has finished.
Select basic bread setting. Start.
