Instructions:
1. Arrange cooled cake layer with bottom side up. Spread the bottom side with a small amount of frosting. Cut cake layer in half and fold the two halves up to join together. You will have a half circle of two layers of cake that is sitting on its side.

2. With a long serrated knife, cut a small L-shape notch from the cake between about one and two o'clock on the cake. This forms the windshield and hood of the car. Transfer to a serving plate.

3. Tint the remaining frosting light green or other desired color with food coloring. Remove about 1/2 cup of the frosting and tint it a darker shade of green or desired color. Place the darker frosting in a decorating bag fitted with a small round tip. Frost entire cake with light green frosting.

4. Pipe details onto car with the darker green frosting in the decorating bag. Attach cookie wheels with some frosting. Attach licorice and other candies with a small amount of frosting to make bumpers, wheel covers, and headlights on car. If desired, insert the slender candle to serve as an antenna. Cake serves 6.
