Figs
1/4 Pint Water and 3/4 lb Sugar to every lb of fruit.
Juice of 1/2 Lemon to each pound.
Boil water, sugar and lemon together for 5mins
and remove scum.Then put in fruit after it has
been wiped clean and sliced into 4-5 pieces
and boil steadily until it jellies.
