Everyone has a twin soul or 'soul mate' I think. 

 

One soul divides and becomes two (or perhaps more in some cases).

 

Your soul mate is a part of you.  There are strong spiritual bonds between soul mates that go back perhaps to the beginning of time itself if there even is such a thing.

 

This is how Eve was created.  Adam's soul was divided.  The bible uses the metaphor of the rib to explain this.  This is one of many examples of how great truths are hidden in mythology.

 

According to mythology the various gods like Zeus, Poseidon, Isis, Osiris, etc., are siblings.  But yet they also get married in the mythological stories.

 

One of the many insidious implications of 'hell' is that those spiritual bonds will be broken forever.  Hell is a separation.
