The number 2 is the number of construction: it speaks to us of
the two principles, masculine and feminine, with which God
created the world. Two people are necessary to create a child,
and all work is a partnership of at least two people, two
entities or two principles. Each projects something towards the
other, and from these movements back and forth they weave
something between them. The same thing takes place within us
between our heart and intellect: the intellect guides the heart
and the heart communicates its impulses to the intellect, and in
doing so they construct something.
Two are needed to work, but this partnership is often difficult.
To create good partnerships you must be prudent and know how to keep your distance. Is a bridge solid if the arch supports are too close together?"
