The Winter Solstice Is traditionally the most important festival of the year as it marks the birth of the Solar Child at the time of receding Winter light, and is thus the moment of affirming faith in the re-emergence of earthly life in the Spring, and also, symbolically, in the soul's survival beyond death. The Winter Solstice is the deepest and most reflective time of the year. The days near the Winter Solstice, when the Sun moves into zero degrees Capricorn, are the most mystical of the year. This a most powerful time to meditate and do ritual. Then while the Sun is in Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces until the Spring Equinox, it is time to deepen and reflect on all that we have learned during the last nine months-- the previous Spring Equinox to the Winter Solstice. December 21st to March 21st, the last quarter of the year, is our completion time. Thank You for sharing this Eerie* |
