People,  I've never asked before.  One of my son's has been an alcoholic most all his life.  The disease is getting worse.  He is very close to the bottom of the pit.  If you can, would appreciate your kind thoughts and/or Prayer.  Many Thanks.  Gem/J

{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{ gem & son }}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} many thoughts and prayers are headed your way.  I am well aware of son's with addictions....my youngest is addicted to 'crack' .....I can wish you a 'calm' heart, and mind....and the understanding that its HIS problem and only HE (and his higher power) can solve it.....You can be his stalwart strength and offer LOVE when he will accept it.

My heart breaks for you dear one.....knowing how hard this is for you !!!

Gem, I too have walked that path. We haven't seen our oldest son in over 16 yrs, and he too is/was an alcholic. It is heartbreaking to say the least. My prayers are with you and your son. September

A special prayer is being said for your son.  Having an alcoholic mother for years and seeing her clean up her act before death, I know what you are going through.  God does answer prayers.  Not in our time but in his.  May God Bless you and your son.  we love you.  Always,  Happyla and Frank

Gem...' The Sins of the child are not the sins of the Father' life can be so very freightening at times to some of us...we turn away from those that 'Love' us, care for us. We turn to substances we believe will make the world an eaiser place for us...in the long run it's those things that take over and demand we acknowledge the power they have over us. When We can look those things in the face, so's to say, and accept the responsibility for what we have done...then we can again 'See' the Love from those that truely from their hearts love us. We can Pray and Hope for the best.......This I know personally....
