I'm stilling waitng on my baby goffin now 4 months. There are 2 to chose from a male and a female. I have fallen in love with both of them. It would be great to hear the pros and cons of owning two. I'm really torn on what to do. I will hate taking one and no one has showen interest in the other and just leaving her there. I do have the space for a large cage for the both of them. I just need a little more info from experienced too lovers. ANY INFO WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.. |

Hi, I think that if you buy both birds that they will be friends with each other and you will not have a loving pet for yourself. That is ok if that is what you want. If you work away from home it would be great to have both birds. If you stay home with your pets than I would just get one. I have had a Goffins for 20 years. After the first two years, I got an umbrella. They became friends. When my umbrella past away after fifteen years my Goffin quit eating. I bought her a baby Goffins, and now she is happy and eating again. Tony |

Awww, that's the sweetest thing, you bought her a baby. We bought our Green Cheek just for our Jenday. To have a friend when we couldn't be here. Conures aren't half as needy as Toos are and it hasn't presented a problem for us at all. They even mostly share a cage, they each have their own, but prefer to be together, even at night to sleep. Citrus still runs to me when she sees me and is very bonded to me. I don't know if it would work with a Goffins though. |
